Howdy yall.... I saw an interview with Steve Miller not to long ago and he said he just made that up. Heidi and I enjoyed a nice night out with Davin Mccoy in Rockledge last night. We really wanted to get over to see Kach, Frankie and Pedro last night but it wasnt in the cards. Raining coast to coast and was happy to only drive 45 minutes at 1am rather than 3 hours.... Guess Im getting old...... Next time guys.... We will be there. Looking foward to seeing our old friend DDT at the GABBA this year. God Bless :smokinsmiley:

Good Morning all... Luke, Sav, BSJ, all the regulars....good morning. Watched The Expendables yesterday. Man, that was a Betts family gathering if you ever saw one. I loved the movie. Campy in some respects, but a good action movie. Peach pies down here are no big deal, but it would be nice to sample from up North. I made a cold watermelon soup yesterday...just messing around in the kitchen and pulled it outta you know where. Cilantro, some chicken stock, tomato, onion, and a little red pepper to finish, chilled that puppy and it was actually very good IMO.

There is a pretty famous pie place out here on Long Island called Berimere Pies , an Old White farm house and farmstand.... on Sound Ave... the town might be Riverhead ,although not sure.. There are always huge long lines there in the summer , quite an array of pies.. Their speical one right now... is Peaches and Cream pie.. OMG... a slice of heaven... yummy... also I have been thinking about this song since Capn wrote the words to it on GB awhile back and I know he is a huge Steve Miller fan.. I am also.. so since this song was around, I guess around 73 or so.,. I have always wondered what this means.. a pompitous of love? What in the heck is pompitous anyway... that is the question of the day ... anyone ??

Dustys a good cat with an ol school heart & spirit. And i'm sure his brother is wayin heavy on his mind.Heres hopin GOD will pull his brother thru this. RedDog i hear ya on the character gig bro.Heard a saying one time about the solid ground we reach when we pass the gig of giving to get.And realize the goal is to get to give.Heres hopin the love & comfort reaches those hearts & body's that need it these daze.Just talked with an old childhood buddy of mine thats goin thru some blues. He owns his own lawn buiness & has been strung out on the oxy gig for some 15 or so years.Met a woman about 5 years ago and she moved in with him.She didnt smoke cigs, weed,or drink. And was always ridin Bobbys case every time he'd partake.Well i kinda thought it was cause she loved him.But here about 2 months ago she split with money he'd been savin for some 30 years.Only other person besides him that knew where it was at was her.Guess she figured cause he wouldnt stop the pills etc that he owed her.Bobby is as mellow as they come & weighs about 130 soaking wet.Never heard him raise his voice & was always giving ,giving ,giving.Well she took 1/2 of his stash & split. The amount was about 25 grand. It flat knocked my friend off his feet.He truly loved her & has worked his ass off for 35 years in the lawn buisness. He always was the first one to cut a joke & sing an ol Hank Sr song. Now he just mopes around & ya gotta work double time to get a good hearted laugh out of him.I always thought it was kinda strange how she'd show boat at the shows, showing off her new jacket or necklace Bobby had bought her.And every time i'd get up to go get a cold brew or take a toke,i felt like she was looking down her nose at me.KARMA can be a MFér when ya spit in her face. And i'm sure she'll be gettin a few visits from the bad medicine spirits in her future walks. Not a good pair of shoes to be in ,is all i got to say.

"'You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him.' Buddy was my partner. His job was to protect me and he did that very well. I love my dog Goldie, but Buddy was special.

First, let me say, Brandt is OK. 🙂 However, the scheduling morons screwed up his appointment. He was supposed to have an Echo Cardiogram (ultra sound), then a chemical resting test, then the chemical stress test. When they rescheduled his appointment for today they forgot to schedule the 2 chemical tests. He only had the Echo. So he went without caffeine for 12 hours and then nothing to eat or drink for several hours (not the best plan for a diabetic) for no reason. And of course he was stressed out all that time and has been for 2 weeks. I let them know how I felt about it. :argue: I'm like that. I assume the actual chemical tests will be rescheduled AGAIN at some point. Geez......... Thanks again for all the love and support. It means a lot.

Rainy, that was a good run for all.Neil & Sav had a blast. Can't remember all that went down. But i do know we all had a ball.I was gonna take some of Neils ashes with me to Macon last weekend. But i was 100 miles up the highway when it came to me i'd forgot once again. One of these daze though(and it might be GABBA)Neil is gonna have some more ramblin space at Rose Hill, the alley next to Capricorn,Grants & close enough to the H where he can smell the vittles & Mama can scold him when he gets a little too far gone. I hear that Pedro's band is gonna open up for Tolers Band,Friday night at GABBA.And then Lingo is gonna open up for The Decoys on Satday night.Hopefully Dublin will be bringin his scooter,as well as myself,& we can do some outskirt ridin. And RedDog if your up to it brother man,we'll slide out your way & say hey.WILL CALL FIRST BRO!Ain't no way i'd invade your cave, without your okay on approaching.Hang in there my friend. You got lots of good medicine still left to spread.
