Love this weather - only time of year I can wear what I call my "Dickey jacket" - bought it in Sedona 5 or so years ago, lotsa fringe, beads, bone. Some of you have seen it (Jam for Duane, circa 2000 something). One of my favorite things. Can't get the snaps to close, though. A little top heavy these days. 🙂

To think 41 yrs later, I get pedicures ( I walked every where bare footed, patched jeans with fringe bottoms, long stringy hair ) and manicures, and Brazilian blow outs ( don't ask , )
But, I can still boogie with the best of them , hmmm, I think..
Which reminds me.. I ordered a hula hoop.. Oh My , what fun... good for tightening up the tummy... I have bruises from the waist down...

RedDog, with you and Nic pulling for us I don't see how we could lose. If the planets all somehow came into allignment and we did win that game and then somehow won the SEC East, which would require beating Kentucky, Vandy, Tennessee, and FLORIDA (gasp)...well, we'd be in the SEC Championship Game and so all we'd have to do is beat Alabama one more time and we'd be playing whatever other creampuff they float in to play us in the BCS National Championship game. So you see, anything is possible except, of course, the impossible.
And RedDog, like almost every other Gamecock fan, I will be a huge Tarheel fan Saturday as they are playing the PHLEGMson Taters. I always pull for the Gamecocks and whoever is playing PHLEGMson. If PHLEGMson were playing Osama Bin Ladin and Al Quaeda, I'd have to pull for Osama.
Alabama and South Carolina. Should be a good game. I was a big Alabama person back when the Bear was alive. I almost got to meet him one time when we did a gig at The U. of Alabama. He got busy and I did not get the honor. I was so close. Today in Football I am a Steve S. person. He is the big dady at USC. So, now I am pulling for the gamecocks. I want them to win the national championship. Not going to happen this year but Steve has the system on the right track.
In basketball I was a Dean Smith, of the U of N. Carolina, person. When Roy Williams left N. Carolina as an asst.. coach and went to Kansas as the head coach, I followed him and what he was doing. Was glad as heck when he came back to N. Carolina. Go Tar Heels. I bleed North Carolina Tar Heels basketball. So be it. It is written
Nic, give me 22 Ryan Brewer's on one team and they could make me look like the greatest coach there's ever been. He was a brute. You couldn't injure him, you couldn't wear him out, you couldn't scare him, you couldn't make him have any doubts about anything. He gave 100% on every single play with or without the ball. Great message and thank you for it! Wonderful anecdote about the high school game. I wouldn't wanna miss that for the world if I were in that region.
Hey Pintobean. Today is the high school football game between Piqua and Troy. It is the oldest rivaly in the state of Ohio. We have played 120 times and the score is 57 - 57 - 6 ties.
Back in 1998 Troy had a kid named Ryan Brewer and he won the Mr. Ohio Football Title that year. He kicked our a$$ for the 4 years he played for Troy. He was shunned by the big schools such as Ohio State. John Cooper did not even talk to him. He went to SC and was your star running back. In 2001 I believe you guys beat Ohio State in the Outback Bowl and Brewer scored 3 touchdowns for the Gamecocks. That got John Cooper fired as head coach at Ohio State. We were so glad to get rid of Cooper!!! Ryan Brewer was one hell of a football player!!
