I guess this is as good as any time to put in my own 2 cents for what ever it is worth.. I sell Fragrances for a living... nope no college degree ..just a sales person at The Macy's cosmetic and Frag dept. Funny, but I don't wear Frag's.. I also found that interesting that I sell them but rarely wear them... and I get alot of gratis.. not as much as the old days... It is amazing to me how much people spend on smelling good. Even in the roughest of times, my productivity is good.. I try to explain how to apply Frag's to some women, most already know.. but, there are a select few , who feel more is more.. not less is more.. so no matter how I stress that.. they will continue to bathe in it.. rather than just a hint... I guess it's because they want to smell it.. so the more they put on , the better for them to smell it. Oh Well... Now , as far as what Pinto was saying ... yep.. it is a vicious cycle... I remember the simplicity of the very early 70's... gone was the deep makeup and in was the very , very natural look and the clothes were not revealing at all ... it was easy and it was what was being promoted... The simple look or as I remember hearing it The Ugly look was in ..frankly alot of women needed to look alittle better in those days... but it just wasnt fashionable.. The last 20 yrs or so.. it's been all about looking young, very sexy, hot , beautiful, whether cosmetic surgery is done or tons of makeup.. I do dye my hair, but try to keep it as close to the natural color as I can with some highlights.. sometimes it comes out harsh. Other times it is great. As far as Meg Ryan.. I always loved her and thought her as pretty.. She got caught in the trap of tring to look younger as she grew older... so highly competitive to look young ... there is always someone right behind them to take their spot light.. It must be hard to except that.. No cosmetic surgery for me...I have thin lips considering some of those out there... that have been enhanced. Beauty is within ... and we all have our own special smell.. it is like a fingerprint, but a fragrance print which is all your own. Embrace yourself... Love yourself... it's all good.. sorry it's so long.. I guess the next time.. we should take it to the forum... 😮 :dog:

Hey, Rick! I thought it was hilarious. We think alike. To tell you the truth, the older I get...I don't know, I just find vanity to be such a turn off. Women who dye their hair platinum blonde and have these awful black roots and their eyebrows don't match, facelifts and cosmetic surgery, all that stuff for what? So they can look ridiculous? And not just women... men wearing all this jewelry, permed hair... I guess you'd call it the Burt Reynolds syndrome - trying to fool yourself into thinking that nobody can tell you're getting older. I feel sorry for Burt the day he wakes up and realizes how silly he looks these days. I saw a movie the other day with Meg Ryan - Serious Moonlight - and the whole time I couldn't get over how awful she looked. It didn't even look like Meg Ryan. She was so pretty and I can't help believing she would still be so pretty in her natural state. And it really gets to me when there's about a 70 year olds still trying to look like a teenagers. Perfume or cologne I always thought were meant only for discovery - a tempting barely detectable trace unveiled to share intimately. People who wear too much are using it like a billboard. I sound like I'm ranting, but I don't really let stuff get to me anymore. It just seems a little pathetic and sad to me now.
