Now THAT'S what I needed.
Good morning brothers and sisters.
Hey Rainy ,my "candy girl" ;).
Off to the doctor for my back again today. I think it's about 2% better (yay!).
Love to everyone today, especially :dog:. I hope it's a good day for you, sweetie. I think of you every single day.
just some music in my head this morning..
man, I dig Dylan... for such a long , long , long , long time. Deep as it can get..
Morning :sunny:
Mike that is a masterpiece , Thanks for re posting it... You also at one time gave a personal description of Betts playing the guitar and it was delicious to read and right on.. Thanks for saying it your way š
Ghandi... I love that picture of Joseph :reddog: :inlove:
Jodie ,I forget her last name.... she is the beautiful blonde woman from Macon.. she is the one I believe took that picture and posted it on the GB right after benefit... I have it saved. :inlove:
OK, here is a funny story , or at least worthy of a chuckle or two... Most of you know I work for Macy's in Frag. dept... and the dress attire is now all black , Gone are the beautiful suites and dresses I once wore.. so it is now usually black slacks , black top or blouse and jacket etc..
So , today we have a new stock man... whoppee I feel like a queen , we usually never get one until after all the work is done and the holidays are over... so he is young, I guess about 20... very cute.. so all the ladies introduce themselves to him and as I walk by.. he said.. Hey , I like your
"Get Up " I stop and turn around and say.. what... he said it again and I realized he meant my outfit... it was the standard Black pants with white blouse and I had on a black vest.. it did look cute... but, that was the talk of the dept... My "get up" I wanna be young and carefree again... Well, we cracked up over that one..
Went out to dinner tonight with my 2 childhood friends who I know since I am 13.. good times, laughs.. it is always good to feel centered once again by people who know you best.
On my ride home... turned on ABB loud... got into Jessica.... it is so great when Betts comes flying in on his guitar after the piano... it just rocks, it is a groove unlike anything else..
That was tonight... tomorrow I will feel this way about any other ABB tunes from those days.... It is always a changing experience ... love... but , I love 'em all...
:dog: :inlove:
Ok time for ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Been really busy at work and home. Stopping by to check on our Red Dog. :dog: Nice to see you posting. š
Love and good vibes to all.

He sings with his fingers and plays through his heart.
He lifts the crowds spiritsā¦He is natureās ambassador.
We have all come to see him, one more time
So he can take us to a place far away
Those who know his music are fortunate for sure
His songs are a potion, a medicine, a cure.
He can turn a rainy day, into a walk in the park
In a smoke filled nightspotā¦
ā¦you can sense the smell of clovers on a warm Sunday morning
As Jessica rises to unbounded heights.
The faces in the crowd are in awe at the sights
The hat, the scarf, the redtop in hand...it is Mr. Betts, and his Allman Brothers Band.
Maybe not; for no matter the line up, the venue, the occasion.
That first note he hits is his signatureā¦there are no substitutes.
A blind man would notice from a balcony down the street
Hey, thatās Dickey Betts!
He is who he isā¦the compositionā¦.the toneā¦the style.
In comments Iāve read on the Grammys last week.
They talked of the tribute to the genre called, āSouthern Rockā.
They said, āHow can this beā ? No Allman Brothers Bandā¦..with open mouth !
Wasnāt one of their titles, āThe Pride of the Southā.
Now let me tell you all, āThe Pride of the Southā, was well represented on this
special night.
By the man who gave them everything for such a long time.
He gave them his music, his feeling, and he lifted their fans
And without Dickey Bettsā¦there is no Allman Brothers Band.
Jimmy, that picture you have up this morning. I am wondering if you or anyone, has basically the same picture, but a up close up profile from the left side, from the shoulder up shot. If any one should have that picture I would love a copy. I have a mic in my hand also. I want to use it for a poster to go with Red Dog Raps. Help.
Ghandi, I just found the picture of Red Dog that you sent me. I just never shook the book after you returned it.
Thank you, sweetheart. That was so very thoughtful.
Lizzie what a beautiful post to read on a miserable rainy , Stormy Monday morning.. it brought in a little sun light.. :sunny: Thank You, Lizzie for the kind and heatfelt words.. it means alot to me.
Peace , love , understanding and a pain free day would be a slice of heaven for all who are suffering.
Larry .. great to see you stopping by and leaving fun messages.. Are your fingers bleeding yet.. from the guitar strings ? Your into now.
J o s e p h how are you on this Monday morning ? Sending special love your way, always.... :dog: :inlove:
Monday, Monday
OH YEAH - Canadamax, Debbie, Charlesinator, Nic - the list is endless. Love to you all.
I am overwhelmed with gratitude to my friends here who have sent me messages of love and support...it is only with the help of God and true friends that I have been dragged out of a bad funk.
Today is a good day. My back doesn't feel quite so bad. I have to go to work in the rain and cold but at least I have a job.
And, I am lucky enough to have all of you but most especially dear Rainy who has a heart of gold and a level of understanding and forgiveness that I have never ever encountered. Dusty has been a rock for me. Willie has been my boulder. Marci has made me laugh. Pam is getting married and I couldn't be happier for her. Life is good, one day at a time, no matter how bad our troubles are.
Sending love and comfort to Red Dog today and to little Marley, to my friends Doug and Claire, to Terri B. and to everyone else who is encountering the trials and tribulations of this life that God gave us.
I am truly blessed. Love to you all.

Hope everyone is having a good ol' lazy Sunday. I haven't... been vacuuming, mopping, cleaning tubs and toilets, cleaning refrigerator coils (don't be like me and only do it every 3 yrs). Anyway, it's great to be home with my wife and sometimes the chores can be fun...or maybe rewarding????!!! Ghandi, glad to hear your happy news! You deserve it! Best wishes to all!
Today I am grateful for love and friendships and for having this good ole Sunday to enjoy
