Duane and Berry, Devon and Derek all grew up together... on the road with their pops...
Sons of the South... road goes on forever
and yes Duane and Berry, along with Pedro and Kach... RJ and Jeff, Dana and Garret... it was like
LIVE AT THE FILLMORE SOUTH last week
statesboro blues had a snag... 2 peeps got all excited, able to criticize (as if they knew)... reply is great...
It was a live technical flub. Like the Pro he is, Dickey managed the band through the Dead Mic Moment. He expanded the lead intro and then covered the vocal line on the next return to the verse D.C. (Da capo) begining. It was a relaxed benefit concert with hometown friends and was fun to attend.
Sweet! Thanks Capn for all the reviews and awesome comments about Dickey and the band! I'm sure the show was awesome! But I guess with everything there has to be sour grapes.
I saw BO Jr's comments as well....You know I have been seeing alot of photos lately of Devon Allman with Duane Betts, Duane betts with BO Jr., Duane Betts saying awesome stuff about Derek Trucks and I think even awhile back Derek gave Duane an amp. So I guess any hostility that remains with the original 4 are just between them.
Let's all enjoy the music and please get out and see these folks playing their hearts out for you all before it's too late. I plan to catch Dickey when-ever I can. For me, he was and continues to be the vibe I loved about the ABB.

Enjoy EVERYDAY... it won't last forever

Berry Duane Oakley: " wow this is still going.... lol.. let me break it down... 4 old friends that once shared in a dream and a band. Now paths have gone in different directions.. but the bottom line is the music. i feel this is between old friends and none of us to be honest. of course it's hard to ignore when your a public figure and historical musician. But again i feel it's between them. who is right? who is wrong. does it really matter? again, i feel it's between them.. But most importantly is we have wonderful music and memories and so much that has come from all these wonderful men. "
Did I mention, I Love my Neighbors???

馃槬 Poor little Mary.
I predict that Mary will be swallowing Gregg's pole because he cannot help himself.
I predict TennKev will coming running and respond any moment now. He cannot help himself.
Thanks Capn Ahole but I'll be sticking around. That's bad news for you and the others who cannot cheer for Dickey without bashing The Allman Brothers Band in the process. Because I like to challenge such things.
the Only negative remarks were made by two people ( comments section) who seem to be upset that for 20 bucks All they got was, delicious food, and 4 hours of world class music... but, they did not like that Mike's mic failed and betts had to sing statesboro...... lol... always someone with a "need" to complain right???
I Loved High Falls, Liz Reed, Blue Sky, Southbound, Stormy Monday and There Ain't nothing you can do... even ramblin man, with more tech probs....was memorable watching Frankie so skifully fill the void with excellent vox
Kim's Band, Poulos and Anderson with Kettle.... hell had Dickey never shown up it still was a BARGAIN... and for a Great Cause... The fact Dickey Played ( and donated ) was IMHO... HUGE
and yes, I am a "cheerleader"...
if anyone does not like us cheering... please do not return.. it is in Your Hands
Three of Jimmy Page's 7 turns....
1=He met John Bonham.
2=He met John Paul Jones.
3=He was an absolute savant in a recording studio.
Even listened to Zep's "Freebird" all the way through for the first time in forever! :freaked:
Gotta' go. Gonna' go listen to my latest acquisitions...Zep 4 & Houses Of The Holy on vinyl. Remastered by Mr Paige. :dance1:
