" Terry, LIVE AT THE FILLMORE™, The Definitive Tribute to the Original Allman Brothers Band performed at Philadelphia's legendary Electric Factory this past weekend for the Delaware Valley chapter of A.B.A.T.E.'s motorcycle toy run, 'For The Kids,' another Toys For Tots benefit. All for a good cause! "

Noted. You agree with Laurent on most points. Also noted. And not just by me...
Sweeeeeeeeeet!!! I would much rather read Laurent-isms than marypf-isms, amy regan-isms, 69duane-isms, peacemanic-isms (not to be confused with peachmaniac), muleman1995-isms (not to be confused with muleman1994) etc.
There is a whole treasure trove of Laurent-isms for folks to explore (the internet-inclined folks already knew how to do this):

Of course here is a link to the **unaltered** original post (for those unable to locate themselves):

And where's that confounded bridge?

Smell's suspiciously like Jim King's brand of paranoia. 🙂
Great post Laurent!!! The one you just posted, not the supposed copy and paste job. Although, the 3rd paragraph in the copy and paste job could have been worded a little bit differently, there is a lot of truth in that whole post as well.
Sorry, we realize that thanks to our very own resident Dickey bashing troll, that you will see some ignorant things being said on here. You know like hijacking peoples names and then posting ignorant things under someone else's name. Or doing a copy and paste and then changing it up a bit to suit one's needs at the time. Or posting something, starting a sh*t storm and then deleting it.
But, if you've visited the abb blue site, no doubt you've seen some equally ignorant statements.
Has anybody seen the bridge?
I'm just trying to find the bridge.
Oh will you excuse me?
I dunno Wayne, one person's ignorant opinion doesn't bother me as much a the chorus of "great post Laurent!!" that follows. At least you had the balls to call it for what it is, despite it being entirely pro-Dickey in nature.
"I don't care if Duane was the better guitar player when he couldn't sing and only wrote "Little Martha". I don't care if Gregg is a better singer, when he hardly played any leads, wrote so much less songs and zero instrumental. Dont' even get me started with Butch and Jaimoe who never sang, led or wrote squat all that time (for Christ's sake !)"
That statement may be the most ignorant thing I have ever read on this guestbook, and there have been quite a few zingers here. One more reason not to visit this site anymore..
Thanks nacm, that was a bad slip on my part. I feel silly now.

Just to set the record straight, Taj Mahal did not author Statesboro Blues. That credit goes to Blind Wille McTell.
I dunno but I don't think there is a contest between guitar players... its all in your personal perception.
Now car racing ...well that's another story...
Thoughts:
While I agree with many of Laurent's points I always resist information when it comes in a lecturing format. I also think he is a bit over the top on view.
I wish Dickey would not drink for gigs. It bothers me I could pay for a ticket and get that. As people who love Dickey we should acknowledge it is wrong and encourage him finding ways to not do that. It really is the worst thing he could do after so many great reviews, give credence to the possibility that one never knows what one will get at a show.
I love Dickey. I tried to see him once and he cancelled. Tried to see GA in July and he cancelled. Our hero's are not getting younger. If Willie and Leon and Neil can give an A game at their age, it is not automatic that age is less.
Hard to read these pages at times.....
