Again, it doesn't matter who lied between Spero and Derek. Dickey was not there and I don't blame him for not wanting to play with a bunch of hypocrites who have constantly bashed him for the past 14 years and I said that from the get go.
I haven't got much use for Spero anyway because he can't even maintain the DB website to keep DB bashing trolls like you away.
There is always a chance that you may get a subpar performance out of Dickey. Lord knows that sham of a tribute band of hypocrites, that finally threw in the towel gave quite a few of those. How many times have you read how people walked out of a Dickeyless abb show? But no more. :lol2:

Well it's clear Dave Spero got caught lying on his own Facebook page so that's something to remember for later.
As far what's next, indeed some Betts concerts coming up and some of us will be attending and others will be simply looking on from afar.
January is Boca and St Pete. I've got tickets for both. 2 DBGS shows in 2014 and a quick 2 to start out 2015. My strategy is to attend as many shows as possible, this makes the odds for a really great show that much better! 🙂
Jambands, jambase, and now The Rolling Stone. Gee, who to believe? Who cares? There is no more abb, but we've still got some Betts music and concerts to look forward to.
Excellent point nacm, with regards to you and the country band you were in. No doubt Dickey felt the same way as you would, and I would have felt that way too.
Are they going to continue to list upcoming events on the home page ?
It is my understanding that Dickey has a January gig booked for January 2015 in St. Pete ?

Well said nacm! The ABB are done now so it really doesn't matter anymore. We can't go back and change anything.
What we can do is look forward to more Dickey "effin'" Betts shows and celebrate all the awesome music this man has given to us over the years. 😀

Not anywhere near the same level, but if the remains of the country band I was canned from wanted me to play a tune or a set in their final appearance, I wouldn't even reply to the invite.

So in summary, Spero lied about:
1) Dickey was indeed hunting
2) Dickey was contacted by the ABB to attend the final shows
3) Dickey has actually not moved on
But this is what professional "handlers" do, and I'm sure given all ongoing issues with Dickey Spero has gotten used to just stepping up and saying what he thinks needs to be said (truth be damned!).
What about the children. The white horse fell in the mud. Yes sir rock and roll always been known for family values. Good lord!!?
