Rainy and Lizzie he does love those two songs doesnt he? I remember before his benefit he told me he might get up on stage with the "Almost Brothers" (who had reunited for him that night) and play the drums...he said he would play one song and that would be, Will the Circle Be Unbroken....but he never did. I think he was so overwhelmed by it all and there were SOOO many people to talk to he just never made it up there. I wish he had though that would've been a great moment for all of us.........

Penns Peak was a great time. I heard about the show and jumped on my harley and rode just short of a hundred miles with my wife to get there. I would gladly do it again.Dickey Betts delivered a great sounding show that was enjoyed by all. Thanks to whomever it was that helped me down the mountain after the show staying behind me so I could take it slow. Peace Drew

A Big Thanks to Chet and Gena... I have Blue Sky on right now as I type.. it is one of the feel good songs of all time 🙂 Happy that DBGS had great shows.. they always are for me 🙂 Having a melancholy morning ... thinking of Joseph :dog: and missing our early morning coffee chats, phone calls.. and his messages on here and on my cell.... rainnnnnnnyyyyyyy... deep concern for him and hoping he has comfort and peace in body and soul.... he has a great support of people who love him and that are taking extra special care of him.. Will circle be unbroken... been wondering where is Pinotbean... hoping all is ok ?? Lizzie thanks for your pm last night.., you sure have a full plate .. you are inspiring many with your messages.. a rewarding task in many ways .. Hope you are all having a Blue Sky Day.. :dog: Joseph :inlove:

Was at the show tonight at Bally's had fun. The only thing about casino shows are they get cut short. Show started a little after 9 and ended at about 10:30 No break and Liz Reed was only about 15 or 16 minutes long they cut the drum solo's out. Still the crowd had fun and they were dancing and yelling positive vibes towards Dickey and the guys. Even as Dickey was playing Ramblin Man some Chick jumped up on stage and gave Dickey a Hug an yelled in the mic no harm no foul all had a blast..the setlist High Falls There ain"t Nothing you can do (dickey forgot the words) Statesboro Blues Blue Sky Seven Turns Hoochie Coochie Man (Pedro vocals) Liz Reed Nobody Left To Run With encore Ramblin Man I down one to go hope tomorrow will be as fun as tonights show Good night good Dickey Ed

LOL, I knew I was not getting through - earth to Rainy. Now, ya got it. This song wails. There's a great pic out there too that shows Jerry Wexler of Atlantic Records, Aretha and Duane in the studio. Yup, this is the song that grabbed Red Dog and never let him go. Thinking of you every morning, Auggie.

From Lizzie  I apparently was not listening to you this morning 🙁 when you said Aretha on The Weight... I was thinking of the Staple singers.. Joseph also mention many times that they ( ABB) would listen to Will the circle be unbroken ... but the WEIGHT is the one that hooked him on Duane Allman..

I will be at both shows in Atlantic City. Its the busiest weekend of the year in AC. They have Lady Gaga at Bordwalk Hall and The lead singer from Staind at borgata plus Air Supply is also at Ballys. Plus the car show at the convention center. The Sat show will probably sell out but as of now there are still some tickets Sunday has many left not a bad seat in the place. If anyones coming down an needs any info just give me a private message. Ed
