"Red Dog Campbell has joined his Brothers. Rest in Peace dear friend."
Just dropping by to send love and good vibes to all. Peace, love and comfort to our Red Dog. :dog:
Rainy and Lizzie he does love those two songs doesnt he? I remember before his benefit he told me he might get up on stage with the "Almost Brothers" (who had reunited for him that night) and play the drums...he said he would play one song and that would be, Will the Circle Be Unbroken....but he never did. I think he was so overwhelmed by it all and there were SOOO many people to talk to he just never made it up there. I wish he had though that would've been a great moment for all of us.........
Penns Peak was a great time. I heard about the show and jumped on my harley and rode just short of a hundred miles with my wife to get there. I would gladly do it again.Dickey Betts delivered a great sounding show that was enjoyed by all. Thanks to whomever it was that helped me down the mountain after the show staying behind me so I could take it slow.
Peace
Drew

Was at the show tonight at Bally's had fun. The only thing about casino shows are they get cut short. Show started a little after 9 and ended at about 10:30 No break and Liz Reed was only about 15 or 16 minutes long they cut the drum solo's out. Still the crowd had fun and they were dancing and yelling positive vibes towards Dickey and the guys. Even as Dickey was playing Ramblin Man some Chick jumped up on stage and gave Dickey a Hug an yelled in the mic no harm no foul all had a blast..the setlist

Dickey and the boys killed it last night at Penn's Peak!
Great show!
LOL, I knew I was not getting through - earth to Rainy. Now, ya got it. This song wails. There's a great pic out there too that shows Jerry Wexler of Atlantic Records, Aretha and Duane in the studio.
Yup, this is the song that grabbed Red Dog and never let him go.
Thinking of you every morning, Auggie.
From Lizzie  I apparently was not listening to you this morning 🙁 when you said Aretha on The Weight... I was thinking of the Staple singers.. Joseph also mention many times that they ( ABB) would listen to Will the circle be unbroken ... but the WEIGHT is the one that hooked him on Duane Allman..
A big thanks and lots of love to Gena and Chet. You are a special example of what makes the DB&GS family so great. Here's to you! beer:
I will be at both shows in Atlantic City. Its the busiest weekend of the year in AC. They have Lady Gaga at Bordwalk Hall and The lead singer from Staind at borgata plus Air Supply is also at Ballys. Plus the car show at the convention center. The Sat show will probably sell out but as of now there are still some tickets Sunday has many left not a bad seat in the place. If anyones coming down an needs any info just give me a private message.

Saw the Rahway NJ show last night and hey, what a great show. Dickey and the band were on fire. Screaming solos ! This crowd was ready to rock and man, did the band deliver. This is what it's about !!
