Nice to see the spirit of Our Red Dog is alive and well. :dog:
Dickey, Its you old friend Capt Rick from the Keys... Just wanted to say hello.. shoot me a email and lets go fishing sometime..
A big thanks to my daughter and son-in-law, who read about Red Dog's passing, and went to his Facebook page. They bought his book (signed) for me to have it, and to contribute to the medical expense fund. It arrived over the weekend.

Stephen, you're right about Gregg bringing Red Dog out on stage at Carnegie Hall - it was his birthday and you could tell how special he felt.
Wondering how he's doing.

Nic, enjoy the weather!

That's special Diamond2boys -- as are all the tributes here to a hardworking, man, tough as nails & with a heart of gold -- brother Red Dog
I believe he mentions that particular concert in his book -- might've been his birthday & Gregg called him out to the stage to great applause -- could be wrong though
he left us a lot -- nice to know he felt the love too

I haven't been around much lately but I have been checking in often to get updated on Red Dog. I was fortunate enough to meet him once in 1974 at Carnegie Hall when Gregg did his solo tour. I also have his book with a personal autograph from him...I will treasure it forever....Red Dog...RIP
Morning all it's been a tough week. I hope all is well as can be expected.
Rainy I hope you are hangin' in there girl.Dan
Good Morning to all,
I'm not sure how to embed a video, but if someone cares to follow this link and embed to the GB it would make a nice tribute for Joseph Campbell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xScobZAzMQI
It's so obvious how much you all cared for him and followed his fight with prayer and concern. The legendary Red Dog led quite the life, and shared it with those of us who never knew him. You all deserve an extra bowl of karma for you love and support through his fight. Damn, I hate that disease.
Ride in Peace, Mister Red Dog.
Correction: Date for Red Dog's memorial is April 22, 2011, Good Friday.

My condolences to everyone on the Dickey Betts site on the loss of Red Dog.
I'm a little incoherent so please forgive my errors. That post reads like a total dummy wrote it.
Not functioning on a high level these past few days. I'll be OK - it's the weekend and I intend to sleep through it.
