Hey there everybody! :wave: Last week was real busy here with lots of highs and lows for me... Started out with news that one of my best friends grandfather had passed away...He had been in ill health for awhile and we knew it was coming soon...I had the pleasure of talking with him many times and he was such a great hard-working genuine man. I wasn't able to attend the out-of-town funeral because I had already made plans with my wife Jenny for her birthday (which was on Friday) to go to the Wisconsin Dells with Derek and my in-laws. The Dells are filled with hotels with water in-door and out-door water parks and it was sure fun taking Derek. I had to leave early however because we had a gig Saturday nite so Jenny and Derek stayed up there. Our gig this past Saturday was probably the most fun we ever had! Everyone was dancing and having a good time the whole nite! It was really something! Good to see Rainy, Nic and Pam were also able to take a break from the rat-race...It sure does help to clear the mind... Good to hear from Frankie Bootleg... Stay safe brother and thanks for the addy...and THANK YOU for serving brother... I sure missed my favorite place Dickey Betts...hope every one is well.. missed all of you.. Vacation time came at the right moment for me this year.. it's usually around the same time, but I needed time away and to be in my thoughts.. I walked on the beach every morning either alone or with Bill .. looooooooong walks.. after having a broken ankle and not be able to walk ..that is all I want to do..even if it hurts alittle... Thought alot about Joseph and how close we became as friends through the last 6 yrs... it's not a good feeling to know I will never hear from him again or hear his voice.. my consolation is knowing that Joseph was accepting of his fate.. he knew time was up and endured it all with dignity, grace and Red Dog style , in his very private moments I only hope he had the strength and courage that he projected to all of us. He will be missed beyond description... he would pop on the ABB/GB or DB/GB if the opinions were going off course and more on speculation. He knew just when to step in to set the record and the past accounts right on track again.. I hope he is settled in with his mama and all his family and his dear friends who I am sure embraced him , dearly... Once again a big hug to Judy Petty.. a rock of strength and love.
