Oh Lord, I am truly sorry to hear of this Brother Luke. My thoughts, prayers, and vibes definitely go out to your daughter, you and your family.
Oh, Luke! 🙁 One of my sons was in a car accident in December and his forearm was shattered. That was bad enough - he's now got 12 screws and 2 metal rods in his arm and doing well. I can't imagine how bad this seems. They can do some wonderful things now, so I'm praying they do something wonderful for your daughter. Sending you, your daughter and your family lots of love, prayers and healing vibes.
PLEASE pray for our only child.She was in an accident yesterday & rolled her jeep.Her left arm was outside the window and is mangled.A chance she may lose her arm.I pray to GOD none of ya'll ever go thru this kinda pain.

Beautiful word Rainy...i could not say it better myself. Red Dog longed for a reunion, that is not likely. If it happens, he will not be here to experience it.
One thing I noticed at the blue site... most of the comments made about te interview, regardless of how peolple feel about the split, were to comment on Butch's mean spirited statement, even after all this time. I think people are starting to see what kind of guy he is.

On another note .. I thought I would share with all of you.. Just some reflections, feelings and changes that I have been going through since the passing of Joseph... not that we were the best of friends but friends and dear ones to each other... it is always a life changing event when a person is born or has died.. With Red Dog passing.. he takes with him all the knowledge of his brothers from the band.. the secrets only he had and experienced... but , he was never one to hold back the facts of what happened in any event that became a hot topic which usually involved Dickey Betts and the troubled the relationship between DB and BT.. which also included Joseph on some levels. There will always be topics started about the riff .. which in most cases comes from Mr. Butch him self in yet another interview.. from jambands.com.. he just can not help himself and needs to express more insulting remarks towards DB... he is a juvenile , immature, and is grossly self absorbed with himself, his ego is enormous. It's in an article like this , that would have brought Red Dog out of the dog house to fire back at him... sadly , that no longer will happen and Mr. Butch will continue to spew his rhetoric, sorta like a mad dog foaming at the mouth .. I and many have been called The Apologists ... I certainly am not an apologists..I am a fan just as the person who labeled us that ... my interpretations of the band are much different then his and he puts that title on anyone who has something positive to say about DB... oh well... who really cares ,anyway....
The thing is.,... is that I did care, really... I had a personal dream of my most favorite band always being together..except of course for death.. but the reality is /was that 4 founding members are still here and I had always hoped for some sort of a reunion.. but after last years fiasco and the snubbing of DB contributions to the ABB fame and all who played with Duane to DB.. it sort put the whole thing to bed for me.. and now with Joseph gone and his voice not to be heard again.. it pretty much is a dead thing to me... it is sad , just another ending that could not be changed... I have become so disenchanted with the idea of a reunion that .. I don't want to see it... I'd rather see Dickey and Gregg and Jaimoe make some attempt at playing together... with Butch in the mix .. it would never be real enough for me...
As always, DB has moved on with dignity and style.. seems like he looks back in fondness and I suppose some confusion in the way it has turned out..
I , like most people wanted a happy ending.. and maybe the reality is I have it..
Thanks Dickey Betts for all you have done , accomplished and are still continuing to do... we dig and love you.. we are the voice of the fans... and wanna hear you play..

No one would be able to put that in words better than Joseph... you are missed 🙁

Hi Everybody! Just got FrankieB's letter in the mail with a beautiful gift inside! What a class act he is! Everybody please write FrankieB and remind him of the good days! He needs some love and nurturing along until he gets back home. I am personally adopting him and have a letter going off to Afghanistan today...my little brother over there in that damn war...
I am healing real well, and in the process, have a new car so a new journey begins!

As for our newest addition... Miss Meadow Skye is trying to make her appearance very early! Dr put me on bed rest for the remainder of the pregnancy... Fortunately I am able to continue working from home for now! We are only at 31 1/2 weeks so we're hoping she holds out until at least the first week in April...
