So if I've got it right, the answer to the million dollar question is just be a perfect little Lord Fauntleroy all the time instead of being a man. Wish I had thought of that about 33 years ago. All this time I've been swallowing my pride, buttoning my lips, admitting I was wrong even when I wasn't, accepting that my memory is wrong all the time, accepting that her memory is right all the time, listening to her backseat driving, not being able to say anything about her driving, and grinding my teeth all the time for nothing.
But now everything is so clear. Problem solved. Somebody needs to print this in the New York Times.
Tried to get a package-just a card- out to Frankie B.They told me the adress was incomplete.Iยดll get it too Kimberly.Hope its not to long on the way.
:birthday: Pedro:birthday::getdown:

:birthday: wishes and a Blue Sky day to Pedro... you rock... ๐
:dog:  :inlove:
Rick, looks and sounds like you have it all.. you need no direction.. compassion, trust, understanding, patience to the point of no return is really the key ( love the hourglass thingy ).. to swing with the moods of a woman.. woman are complex and at times can be difficult, but no one is more nurturing than a woman.. Man have the ability it's just that women are more in touch with that emotion..
The rewards you can get back for your above understanding ways are so worth it.
Thanks for sharing who you are with your "other" family here... we dig that..
Yep, Joseph was our CEO.. * sigh * missed , never forgotten...
:dog:  :inlove:
Happy Birthday Pedro. Thanks for all the Great Music and Goodtimes!!! May you have a Blue Sky day and may your Soulshine. Peach.
Actually, I kinda enjoy the "effort" and the "attempts" to please a woman. The returns are, shall we say, epic at times. ๐
In the face of adversity, I try to see the good. In my case, I was raised by women; my dad was a severely complicated man with deep personal issues, stemming from his dedicated service in Korea, and therefore out of the picture.
Born into orphany (is that a word), I did not have the luxury or the understanding of a normal family dynamic. My adopted Mother did the best she could, and when she passed away my adopted sisters raised me. I saw a womans needs from a very early age, primarily because they repeated the cycles of their mother by marrying their father figures.
But I would not trade a thing; I understood that women basically want their men to try and understand them, and exude love and patience in the process.
My own advice to any man is to go and buy an hourglass, and keep it by the bed. Every morning, without fail, turn it over, look at your partner and say "how are we going to live today?" then live it.
:birthday: Happy Birthday to our favorite bass player brother Pedro!!!
Hope you have a great day!!!
Have found a couple, Jim. but I love recommendations!
I think 'em too Jim. I got worms in my brain. Rick, despite what Lizzie said, I don't think we've gotten an inch closer to solving that eternal riddle of man. Sorry, Liz, ain't no woman that simple.
Wife and I are taking off Wednesday for Annapolis for Parents Weekend up at that thar US Nasal Academy - cocaine snorting capitol of Yumerica. It'll be 5 days of fun and frolic. Can't wait to see my little angel pookiegurl, sweet warrior that she is.
Ya'll hold down the fort while I'm gone.
HAHAHA, PD sweetie our Brother Red Dog was the CEO of this place, and if anything, he taught me a great deal.
I came over here at the direct invitation of Red Dog, and I love this place and the people here....a lot of good folk.
The Blue Site is unbearable to even waste the time, so if this Site becomes like that, Im done. I dont like the blue site influences nor agendas over here, and this AL person did exactly that. Even when olive branches were extended, she "could not take a hint" as it were.
Game on.
I dont show it but there are some folks here, Rainy, you, Pinto, Capn, Jim, Nic, BlueRat, LUKE, V man, and others...that I care about and wish them peace and happiness. Some little twit or asshole aint going get too much quarter crossing that line.
I think Jim is a better candidate than me. Hell, AL would be good with her fire, if she could get her heart right :). Stranger things have happened.
Rick, I nominate you to be the CEO around here. We could use some supervision and direction. You are incredibly loving and logical at the same time. It's a rare combination.
I'm interested in what you do and for whom if you're wiling to share. I also detect a great deal of modesty .
Rainy, how about a full report on your trip? Can't wait to hear about Capn's travels with Michael Allman. I don't think it was at all what he expected!!!!
Hope everyone's having a great Monday.
Rainy, you had a great time Im certain! Good to hear it, and I hope you had fun in FL! I love visiting there...
Good afternoon. ๐
Stopping by to check on everyone...Rick you're just fine and who cares what someone who only wants to spread bad Karma says?
Nic - sending you good vibes and wishing you and Pam a great trip to the DDT benefit.
Pinto - nice post regarding your Mom moving in with you. Bless you. :angel2:
Lizzie - you're not too far off on what women want. We're not all the same, but that was a good starter lesson. And for all you guys - we don't expect you to be perfect - just some of those things would be nice.
I dont take hints well, and I sure as Hell dont take directions well; that is why I am a CEO.
To those that have hurled insults at me, and the vast majority of regulars on this Site, and made it very clear of your continued dislike for Betts. Its not that I actually care what the person thinks or feels per se. I will continue to respond, directly, to any author that continues to direct insults at my friends on this very public Site, or same directed to Mr. Betts.
Veiled threats are meaningless.
Face it. You lost the challenge of the pen when you met me.
HAHA "Ever". What a moronic, limpless, lashing.
I was just reminded of a scene in Young Frankenstein when a horse and carriage had dropped off Dr. Fraunkenstein and whatshername; every time the name (Frau) Bleucker was mentioned, the horses whinnied and bucked. Igor was the last in the door, he opened it briefly and said "BLEUCKER" just for kicks and the horses reacted like he expected. His smile portrayed his pleasure at getting their dander up. ๐
BTW, most all of the guys on here are respectful, sweet and caring. Rick, Jim, Pinto, Nic, Rajo (sorry if I forgot anybody) and I love you all.
And, Rainy, well, you're another story. Love you girlfriend.
Good morning sunshine; the earth says HELLO.....Hair (NOT the Cowsills).
Peace,
Lizzie
Haha...
I was quoting Sigmund Freud. Hell if HE could not answer it.......
PD, you are sweet and open. Rainy, well, you are indeed a study.
My new pal Amy never ventured into the deeper water.
Yall have a good day.
Hi Rainy. I am doing fine and thanks for asking. The DDT benefit in 12 & 13 Nov. You can check things out at
http://www.dantolerbenefit.myevent.com/. It would be so cool if you could join us. ๐
I'm really looking forward to the two daze of music at the DDT benefit. It will be cool to catch up with the guys in Great Southern again. I have not seen them for a couple of years. I am excited to catch Frankie Lombardi unplugged. And then of course to catch my favorite player Dangerous Dan Toler!!!!! My sister Stephanie from Tampa is joing us for the gig. She is very excited!!!!
I hope you all have a Safe & Goodtime week. I think of RedDog everyday. Peach.
Good Morning :sunny: and Thanks for the B' day wishes.. ๐
We were on vacation Ca.. with the granddaughter and then off to Naples, Fl.. We had a great time, we got in late last night around 12 am.. and I am happy to be home and back here..
I miss you too Lizzie, thanks for the check in call.. I will try to catch up today...
Was the benefit for DDT already on.. If so , waiting on the reviews and hearing some news about Dan's health.. sending him prayers and well wishes everyday..
How are you Nic ???
Rick , that is a hard question to answer, although Lizzie did some great job in detail.. The problem is ( maybe it's just me ) I change all the time.. I never know what the h*ll I want.. Cause what I wanted yesterday, can change the next..
deeper answer and not what you were looking for I suspect.. is peace on earth, common decency, kindness, kindness, kindness, a deeper understanding about "Life".. to give LOVE and take LOVE..share it with all..
That is how I feel now at 7;30 am on 10/17/11 .. I suspect this will change in a matter of minutes...
Have a Blue Sky Day...
