Okay, this won't make up for the cancelled shows but I just posted an offer in the Trades section:smokinsmiley:
I'm so upset.............I dont even know what to say...and I'm going to have one upset 14 year old who has been trying to figure out which guitar to "hopefully" get Dickey to sign....
:bawl:
Bummer:doh:
I looked at flights, hotels etc. since last week but held back on making reservations....once bitten twice shy I reckon:-(
Just spoke with David Spero...he answered the phone.
Told me the two Georgia gigs were going ot be rescheduled...don't know how you reschedule an outdoor FlySouthfestival with multiple acts but that is what he said
Guess there goes my Georgia road trip over from New Orleans...
BUMMER ! :flameout:
At least I did not make any hotel or other committments
Ok, someone PLEASE let us Know about the Georgia tour Dates. I just bought tickets for the Show in Duluth like an hour ago......excellent seats I might add......and was taking my son to the show in Macon so he could see Dickey........Please, PLease, PLease tell me these shows are not cancelled.......PLEASE.
If the Georgia dates are cancelled that would be a shame...having Dickey play again in Macon would be something special:guitar::guitarist:
But it is late changes to the tour dates and/or cancellations (that also happened a few years back quite a bit) that make it difficult for folks to make plans.
By plans I mean air fare/long distance driving, hotels, time off work etc. compared to the "dream" gigs where Dickey plays in your home town and you can walk to the show from home (only happened to me once):walk:
Too bad about Taz. 🙁 Gotta agree with Nic on this. Saddle Tramp and Fire On The Mountain are my 2 most favorite CDB albums. The song Saddle Tramp holds many good memories for me..."Well you pass around the pipe and you all get high. You never even stop and wonder why...."
OH NO !
I no longer see the November gigs listed on the homepage...
Nov. 4th at Wild Bills
Nov. 6th in Macon
Does someone know something on these?
:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
The Wild Bill's website still has it listed

RIP Taz!
Man, I would love that Nic, I may surprise you one day! I have never caught walleye before, nor a pike. I imagine you guys have pike in the Ohio waters, that is one ugly fighting fish!
Saddle Tramp is a great album, one of my favorite albums with CDB is the first Volunteer Jam album, with the CDB on side 1, Whiskey, Birmingham Blues and The South's Gonna Do It Again and then on side 2, The Thrill Is Gone with MTB and friends, Sweet Mama by Dickey and Mountain by CDB and friends. God what a great album. And the DVD that was released a few years ago of the same show, but with a lot more music!
Hope you and Pam have a great weekend.
Sorry to hear about Taz..I too saw CDB when Dickey plays Vol. Jam that year. Taz was a standout player in the band.
My home computer is in the hands of the Geek Squad, and I wont have it back for a few days. They tell me it will be better than new when they are done. I hope so.
Mitch
Hey Wayne. Those are great tunes by CDB. I have always been partial to the Saddle Tramp Album. They played the tune Saddle Tramp at our local fair this year. A very pleasant surprise for me. You should plan a trip up here fishing Wayne. The door is always open for you Brother. It would be so cool if Rev could join us. Think about it. Thanks for your Friendship. 😎 Peach.
Nic, I would like to hear that interview, Rev. Tim knows what questions to ask. I miss hearing his shows, I hope he is doing well. Those are some great memories you have of Taz. loved to hear Whisky and Birmingham Blues by the CDB, he really made those songs with his organ.
:clapping::fanfare:Welcome to the world Samuel. Congrats to Steph and Warren.
Thoughts and prayers to the family and friends of Taz. RIP and thank you for sharing your gift and talent w/ the world.
Sorry to read about Taz. When I was in school in PA in the '70s, I sold him a roll of insulation to put under his grand piano for the show that night.
So sorry to hear about Taz. My condolences to his family and prayers for his new life with his old brers.
Sending love out to Canamax this morning. Message me. He could use our prayers.
Rainy, honey, I miss you. You heard of Dickey playing in Macon, I presume. Not suggesting any travel in this regard, but I'm hoping he has a great, retrospective trip back to where it all began and that he is willing to accept the love that awaits him there.
The Big House has the red carpet waiting.
Oops, I forgot...
Steph & Warren's son is named "Samuel"
Very cool eh?
Tom
I am so sorry to hear this terrible news of Taz. I just spoke wih him in August at the CDB gig here. We talked about hanging together at Volunteer Jam in St Louis in 2001 which DB&GS played. I know our Friend Rev Tim knew him Wayne as he was with me that day. Kris Jensen gave us backstage passes. I do believe Rev interviewed Taz for his radio station at a later date. Taz always took the time to chat with his fans and as Wayne said was a very cool guy. I bought his CD Shake Rag and he personiazed it to Pam & I. Taz was a US Army Veteran and one hell of a fine musician. I will miss him and will burn one this morning in his memory. 😎 Enjoy everyday folks as it may be your last. May God bring comfort to his Family and Bandmates. Peach.
I just saw on Facebook where Taz DiGregorio, longtime keyboard player for CDB, has passed away due to a car accident. He was a cool guy, prayers to his family.
