Savannahh is so right!! Skynyrd still rocks as does the Artimus Pyle band!!!! I don't know anything about Gregg not being there. Have fun JK. ๐ Peach.
Jim (Skynyrd) still rocks Brother, saw them a couple of years ago.
If I had a wish, I would wish for Dickey Betts and Gregg Allman to play their hearts out in front of each other, not in front of all of us and to jam like they have never done before and remember all the good times and not the bad times and to remember the ones that started the band and why and all the good times they had. I don't like to see conflict just good times. Brothers til the end in so many ways and for themselves for once not for all of us. Peace to you .
the grass still grows and the river still flows ya gotta believin in believin cause nobody knows!
Someone on the blue site (I'm banned! Got banned in 2000) was wondering who is doing the scat chant on Black Harted Woman on the ABB's first album & who is laughing at the end of it and I've asked Dickey Betts that and Butch Trucks also answered it on the blue site about 1998 or 9 and it is EVERYBODY IN THE BAND (Duane, Gregg, Dickey, Berry, Butch & Jaimoe) and it is Berry Oakley laughing at the end becasue he thought they screwed it up again but after listening back they decided to keep it and add it to the record.
Dickey also answered my question about Revival back in 1986 when he was playing a club in North Carolina and it is everybody in the band (Duane, Gregg, Dickey, Berry, Butch & Jaimoe) singing back up (people can you feel it..love is everywhere) on Revival from Idlewild South. Dickey said a lot of people think it is just one or two of them but it's everybody.
TGIF  .......... Y'all have a good weekend.
:waving:
Hey Mitch ๐ sounds like a wonderful night of music and friends @ the Beach.
A friend of mine went and he hadn't seen Santana before and said they were G R E A T.. a beautiful night ..
Wish I would have gone...
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the summer..
I know this is the song that keeps playing over in my head..
Hot town summer in the city, back of my neck gettin dirt and gritty.. Head down isn't it a pity , doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city.. all around people looking half dead walkin on the sidewalk hot than a match..
or something like that
:dog:  :inlove:
Regarding the German tour, I agree with Gerrypeach. Although I did not attend the Herzberg festival, I had the opportunity to go to the Bluesgarage in Isernhagen (as four years ago) and Hirsch in Nรผrnberg. The fans were happy, the band and crew was in a good mood and also Dickey was happy and satisfied after the show. He had the gratitud to sign dozens of items for the fans. Also, the hospitality of Henry in the Bluesgarage was fantastic! After the last concert of the German tour, almost the whole band was in the hotel bar and Mike sat on the piano, joined by Pedro with harp and violin and Dickey was humming. This was the perfect end for the European tour. Thanks again to Dickey, the band and the crew. Roland
Dearest Nic and Pam, You are welcome in my home anytime. If I ever get there, ie.
Love to all.
Glad ya had a good ol' time at the show Mitch.
Rock on Nic!
Jones Beach show was a great night of music. Did a little tailgating with some old friends, and it was sure good to see them.
Both bands got to do a full 2 hour set, and I enjoyed the music very much. When it was over, I felt my spirits were lifted up high.
I had never seen Santana before, and was very impressed with the selection of songs...from Evil Ways to Smooth... and his band was smokin' hot too.
ABB played a set of mostly classic songs, and were tight. Gregg's voice started out strong, but kinda faded out by the end.
I was very glad I went.
Mitch
Need some fresh, live Dickey?
I just posted a B&P for: Dickey Betts & Great Southern โ Germany โ 07/20/2012 in the forums/music trades.
A right fine recording of The Man in the Hat.
Peace & Ride The Mule,
Tom

Best wishes on you move Lizzie. Hopefully we can visit you during our next trip to Macon. Nice gesture to help a Sister out Terry.
I am continuing to fight the fight!!!! So far so good. Let's see how I feel in about 10 days. It is a Good day to be alive!! ๐
We are still getting some much needed rain. Unfortunately the high winds and hail comes with it. I hope everyone here is doing well!!! Peach.
Cap'n wants to... call me
Still waiting on a closing date. This last minute stuff is killing me.
Found out it's gonna cost me about $500 to fly my cats south not to mention a last minute ticket for me! Anybody wanna drive me and a couple of yelping cats from NY? I'd do it but I have an arthritic leg that won't handle a gas pedal for more than an hour. It would only take say, maybe, three to four weeks to make my destination.
Working on acceptance. It's a tough one when you have absolutely NO control over your situation.
Hope everyone is enjoying the sweltering heat. :alienglow:
Damn you caught prine pretty damn quick! Good job.
Welcome back Prine! Where have you been? Jail? Was it identity theft or maybe domestic violence or pedophilia? Do tell !
It is simply FREEDOM of choice on what you , as a law abiding citizen, decide to own when it comes to firearms. The media has falsely coined the term "assult rifle" to include any clip-fed rifle to assuade the anti-gun fanatics as to their argument. Boohockey.
Every citizen in this country should have the right to own ANY weapon they choose. Be it a bazooka, whatever. If they break the law, that right is taken away. I submit if more people carried, there would be far less crime. The FBI stats prove this over and over again. In states/ cities where there is gun control, laws/restrictions, crime is rampant. The opposite is true where citizens are allowed to protect themselves.
Dont believe the media lies.
