Thanks for the heads up on the new cd Brother Dan. The one and only time I have seen Santana was like 2 or 3 years ago and I was totally blown away.

Heads up..If you haven't bought a copy of Santana's new album "Shape Shifter" Do your self a favour and get it. You will not bew sorry. It is pure Carlos..all instrumental.
Even though I served in the armed forces to this day I have never owned a gun . Never really say a reason to own one.A far as protection I have done fine so far.
To those who do it is up too you.But can can someone give me a reasonable answer on why someone should own an assult rifle(legally) for me there is only one reason to own one and we all saw what happened in colorado.
Walter - I think we all know what you mean. Didn't think anything bad when I read your posts. And I, too, think the government has overstepped. So you just go on an be a rebel and fight against what you believe is tyranny. Pretty sure that's what the first Americans did. :winky:

DBGS just finished a great tour of Europe !
I attended Burg Herzberg Fesitval in Germany and after three days of rain and mud the sun started shining as DBGS entered the stage and they played High Falls, Statesboro and Blue Sky !
Dickey was in good spirits ... and GS - what can I say, great band - great performance ...

Rainy and everyone else, I believe I've been misunderstood a bit. I didn't say whether I agreed or disagreed with anyone's opinion. I said that I don't believe that anyone with any political power gives a rats boompy about what any of us thinks. Now some people may tend to think that their opinions are important. It is those people to whom I apologize for making it seem like I may think they are incorrect in assuming that their opinions are important. They may be correct in thinking that their opinions matter, but I am of the opinion that our opinions do not matter to anyone but ourselves. In matters of public policy what I observe is that the government is dictating policy contrary not only to the will of the governed but also in spite of duly passed laws. Selective law enforcement is no justice - it is tyranny. That is where I think we are today.

Walter I always enjoy reading your posts.. we all have valued opinions whether we agree with them or not.. It is what makes the world go round... we certainly can not all think the same.. how boring.. but thinking alike on some of the same paths is always good especially when the welfare of human safety is involved.

They are in need of some financial assistance. The daughter has and continues to have some serious health issues and they need a little help in getting her back and forth to the doctor.

If I'm not mistaken, the U.K. effectively banned firearms in response to the Scottish kindergarten killings, rather than the killings being carried out in a nation that then had strict gun control. To skydog's claim, they've not seen a gun massacre since.
