Dan, no cigar. Must have thrown out my bootlegs. Ron Everheart in Charlotte gave me that show, too, so it was special.

Frankie's Birthday Bash is Wednesday night, Dickey's Day is Thursday...Andy's is next Monday.... and, some dude named Gregg was yesterday... NIC's is later this month... CELEBRATE !!! -=DDT=- Kimberly, that benefit at Hershberger's was the last time I saw You & Nic... a great weekend for sure... I remember when I got the news Warren was on his way from Orlando... I was given the "task" of spreading the word, in an effort to bring in a few more guests... result, about 50 + people showed up in the next 2 hours... what a wonderful memory. The first abb gig I attended was May 2000, shortly after the fax. J.H. sat in for Dickey... I left early, not liking what I heard... I also had tickets for Red Rocks that July, gave them away and cancelled my flight... ironically, the friend I gifted my tickets to, also LEFT EARLY.... highly disappointed BUTT, letting go of the past is often the best way to enjoy TODAY. The past is history, the future a mystery, today is a GIFT, that's why they call it the present !! People can you feel it?

Dan, I had/have? an ABB show with Dickey and Jimmy Herring that is one of my all time favorites. We've been doing a lot of remodeling here lately and I don't know whether I kept all my bootlegs or tossed them but they aren't in the ol' mancave anymore, so I'll check around and see if I can find it today. Herring's style is so different from Dickey's and the contrast was really great. Here's a dream ABB reunion show for you - Dickey, Jimmy, Jack Pearson, Derek, Warren, and Chuck Leavell. I'd pay at least $10 to see that!

Ya know, I look at it this way… The SEC IS without question, the dominant force in college football. Whoever wins the SEC outright deserves respect for a damn tough conference schedule. Saban got greedy and out coached, so get over it. He ain't God, and he ain't Bear. And to say Auburn got lucky is part true, but luck defines college football just like the X's and the O's….happens across the country every week. A win is a win, no matter how you get it. 0:01 = the new normal I don't care if someone does not like Auburn, but the SEC Champ should be respected for winning the toughest football conference in the Country.

Tyler, I saw a recent Warren Haynes Band performance on Paladium and it was fantastic. I enjoy Warren and Trucks with ABB immensely, but Warren's own band is not surprisingly the best platform to showcase his talent because he handpicked every musician and is in charge of every aspect of each recording and show. I shouldn't have been so surprised how good WHB was but it really shocked me. So you ought to be on the lookout for that show if you get Paladia in your market. I see a lot of great music/musicians on that station. Just watched a Who concert from 1977 the other day. Buddy, they could really bring it!

Howdy folks! Hope everyone is well? Been checking out quite a few clips of brother Dickey back in the 90's. Man was that lineup on fire! I know a lot of folks have said he ain't what he used to be. I personally still dig the heck out of him and love the vibe he brings. What struck me as somewhat of a revelation though, is Warren Haynes. I have seen him quite a few times over the years with the ABB after Dickey was out of there. I have to say that I can't believe how different he plays now. I still am a fan of Warren but miss his playing from the 90's era. His playing had more of a bite to it and I loved his slide playing better than now. I'm not sure if it's the whole band combination at the time or Dickey's influence on him but to me it's different now. Just my opinion though I guess. For me, the '89-'97 version was one of the best after of course the original. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! RickT...the painted guitar sounds cool! Please show us some pics if you get one done! Stay warm folks! Got to 20 degrees here in beertown today... :cold:
