The Sky is Cryin' I wasn't able to make the show in NYC tonight...but hope to attend tommorow nite's show in Norwalk... I was able to retrieve the "Blue Sky" sheet music Dickey signed at B.B. Kings...and hope have a shirt designed tomorrow to bring to the show... It rained like hell this evening on Long Island with some Texas like lighting while I was driving from Oceanside, NY to Deer Park...better than the 4th of July fireworks show... Get home safe and stay cool, it's supposed to be close to 90+ degree's in these parts Saturday...nice day for a ferry ride across the Long Isalnd sound from Pt. Jefferson to 95 and Norwalk... Hope to see y'all on Calf Pasture Beach

No Problem Kwidge... What a show! Iv'e seen the Allmans a few times, never with Dickey and that was the first time I had seen him. I hope it wasn't the last. I attend lots of classic rock blues shows and it was top notch! And FREE? Serendipity.

Thank you, sqounk!:-) I've been dying to hear about that show. So glad you had a great time and that the music and the band had the power to move you like that. Dickey is the Man and his band is full of great talent. Always has been.:smokinsmiley:

I just attended the "Party in the Park" show (free) in Utica New York. WHOA!!! Dickey Betts and his band were absolutely ON FIRE!!! The weather cooperated nicely only providing a few raindrops... In a surrealistic twist, during "Blue Sky"!!! That was one of the greatest sets of guitar fury I have ever seen! The jams during "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" were so beautiful!! A high energy set of a true Guitar Gods Wizardry... A frenzy of soul ripping, heart touching, ear tearing blues indulgence!!! WOW!!!

"alway right: 99% of the time" I love that OK, one more post and nap it is... I ain't religious "per se" but I am SPIRITUAL ( how many people say that) So I was just thinking about TOY and Norton... I was fortunate enough to get to know them both before they left us and Norton especially would always say, "Tell Dickey I said hi" TONIGHT I will be feeling they are IN THE HOUSE (along with Duane, Berry, Joe Dan, Jerry and sooo manyothers) smiling down on the man in the hat... i will imagine a couple of lights from above on stage so very proud of Br'er Betts "Keeping the Love Alive" back to bed
