Open thine sad blue eyes and appreciate what each day brings you. A new lesson; a simple joy; a pang of negativity. This is why we are here. To experience and to learn. Things change every day for me. A new challenge, a new epiphany, a new problem. That's why we're here. To learn from everything we experience...good and bad. Tomorrow morning we all get to connect again at 9AM for Red Dog. I was floating in Sag Harbor bay today on a small beach at a retreat house run by nuns dedicated to helping the needy. Totally relaxed, feeling only my breath go in and out; ears full of water; sounds muted, eyes closed....wondering if that peacefulness is that was heaven will be like. Then I realized, I was already there.

Weekend in Montauk on a few pennies a day. It can be done. Blue Sky has asked that we all connnect mentally and spiritually this week at 9AM - Mon - Thurs when Red Dog has his first treatments. A prayer, a silent moment, whatever works for you will help him get through this first tough week. It is not a bad thing when something hurtful happens but you take that event and turn it into something positive - like 57 finding his Higher Power. Everything happens for a reason. Love to everyone who needs it, comfort to all who can find it in their hearts to heal themselves.

Back from a few days of rest and relaxation out in the North Fork of Long Island. Stayed at a quiet beachfront little resort...not fancy, but clean and right on a private beach. Had the whole family with me. Nice way to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Man that went by in the blink of an eye. Wouldn't change a thing Rainy, We know about Briermere Farms, and had heard about the Peach Creme Pie. It was in a class by itself...the taste of fresh peaches gave it a unique flavor. Red Dog, I'm about halfway through your book. It makes me feel like we are sitting across a table from each other, sharing some cold ones and you are talking directly to me. I am saddened to hear that your pain is so intense. A PEG tube should not be so uncomfortable. and I hope they find out whats wrong. I think of you every day, and send good thoughts. Mitch
