Makes me know I have the right horse (the cat in the hat): From the scum bag drummer who claims to have co wrote Elizabeth Reed.... yea, D Bag Butch… “Webcasts are extremely expensive events to produce and bring to the viewer. Moogis uses the same equipment as a high definition television production in order to bring the highest possible production values to our subscribers. Moogis priced subscriptions for the 2011 Beacon run and Wanee Festival so that we could webcast both events based on the assumption that we would have the same number of subscriptions as last year. Unfortunately, we fell 300 subscriptions short of the number necessary. As a result, we have to regretfully notify you that Moogis is not going to be able to webcast Wanee this year. We have explored every possibility to see if there was any way to make this happen but we have run out of options and time. At the moment, Moogis is in a negative financial position. But once we get new funding, we will either refund the cost of Wanee to subscribers who want a refund or apply their Wanee payment to the next Moogis pay per view event. For those who leave their payments with us, you will get a 20% discount on all future Moogis pay per view events. We are very sorry that we have to do this, but we have no other choice at this time.”

Ed....did I read that correctly? Basically is Moogis offering a Wanee refund only if they receive additional funding? Ummm , I defer to Jim. Jim, is that a class action suit in the making? I subscribe to a service, it does not happen, but Im refunded only if a ancilliary funding source becomes available? And claiming to be 300 short? Can I see your books, Mr. Moogis????

Oh yeah, the guys told me the Baby Wipes are in place of hot showers living out in the sand, and the calf sox are cool as the sand keep getting in the sox even with the tightest tied boots it just gets in there! Even if some of you have those hotel samples that we have all taken home would be cool..check your bathroom closets for the extra stuff y'all have collected form your trips and send with a note to our Frankie and it sure would be a beautiful thing...time and free samples...not to much to ask to make another man's day a little brighter or a smile for a moment or two...

Hi! If anyone would like to know items that are most needed by our troops in Afghanistan, see below. Our local Lions Club has adopted an Army Unit in Afg and I thought we could adopt our FrankieBootleg! Items Needed: DVD Movies, CD's, Foot Powder, Hard Fruit Candy, powdered drink mixes, chapstick, mid calf socks, undershirts, boxers/briefs, toothbrushes/toothpaste(travel size), disposables razors/shaving cream, lotion/shampoo/soaps(travel size), ziploc baggies (gallon, sandwich size), baby wipes(travel size) disposable cameras, batteries (AAA and AA), cans of salted nuts, store bought cookies (solid packaging) and power bars or trail mixers. It was very cool of the Lions Club to supply this list as it made it easier for me to pick out some gifts I sent out to our FrankieB! Anytime we were on tour, FrankieB always came with gifts for the Band, individually and personally...he was brought up very well...whenever he came on the bus he always brought a gift for Duane, Mike, Dickey...hell that guy even made this beautiful table with Jerry Garcia on it a black white silouette and then he polyeurthene'd it with many coats on it and gave it to the Band for their use on tour that week. It was beautiful and so thoughtful...even Duane complimented how cool it was and in fact after the tour he took it home. Frankie B was the kind of guy that would give you the shirt off his back. One night I remember Duane came up to FrankieB for a greet and hug and Duane notice Frankie's silver necklace and said he admired it and asked if he could wear it and Frankie took it off his neck and off Duane went on stage ready to go with his new lucky charm...yes everybody who meets and knows Frankie, you just can't help loving him...he is like a little brother and a good man all wrapped up on one! Later Gators, Kimberly

Alot of talk about the little drummer boy! He is all about the profits he can make from the ABB and I think he is pissed that Greg didn't bring his new songs to the ABB for release, thus eliminating Claude from any royalties. Claude has been making royalties from the 2 ABB songwriters his whole life and wishes he could add to that but 1 CD in 10+ years from his corporation(ABB) isn't enough so he had to come up with a new marketing gadget(Moogis). I don't want to see a reunion with the ABB if Claude is still in charge but I would love to see a combo tour with GAF and DB with a little Jam at the end, hell Dickey is probably even decent enough to let Gregg be the headliner! I'm just sayin!

Hey everybody! :waving: Capn - you're so sweet to be thinking of me. The tornadoes stayed about 100 miles west of me this time. Whew! I should have posted that all was well. Captcin was worried about me, too. Love you all and sending good vibes to everyone. Peace.

....it was NOT money. It was egos, power, control of the Band, and the agendas surrounding the future of the Band. Claude wanted and has always wanted to be CEO of the ABB. He clearly feels he is the smartest, has the largest number of brain cells, and can make the Band the largest amount of money. He does not like the musical direction Betts was taking the Band, so he did a work around, on several fronts.... He brought in Derek. Derek is good, no doubt but more important to Claude, he is blood kin. He finally had some level of control to the front men on stage. That proved to be the beginning of the end for Betts, and I contend, Betts never saw it coming. Claude brought in a percussionist having a heavy Latin background. Again, an excellent musician, but it set the stage for a non-country dynamic. Claude pushed, and got what he wanted. He also brought in Lana et al, and established a culture in which he could control. He moved out Betts, had his blood kin already established up front, anchored it with $$$$ in front of Warren, and did the deal. No turning back, could care less about history. Im like Rainy and others. I am done with the concept of an ABB reunion. If there ever were to be one, I assure it it is because Claude sees the money to be made. Not because of love or memories. Knowing Claude, he would agree to it only if it would be a Moogis deal, and followed up with a book deal of some sort.

:waving: Mitch....Thanks Lizzie  you just never know... but, I would think that it is very possible... Red Dog Joseph shared many intimate moments with all band members ... he remembered DB with deep fondness... he knew he was no one to take lightly.. An interviewer asked Joseph one time which memory stood out for him.. and Jospeh laughed his hardy laugh and said in the cemetery with DB in his mediation rope and headband sitting crossed legged in the early morning misty fog... I think Larry posted the audio on here... Larry ..can you post again.. Please Also DB has been known for showing his respects for people who have passed in his life... And Mitch you are right... I am so happy that DB is out there and I have had many more chances to see and hear that Red Guitar... no one like Betts...

Great post Rainy. I too am over the thought that the original four would ever play together again. It won't happen, and it doesn't really seem important anyomore. At least Butch and Gregg have been pretty clear that they aren't interested...why shoud Dickey want it anymore either. I can't get the idea out of my head that they could connect as solo artists, but that's just a fantasy I have, and I don't believe it will come to pass...nor will I expend any energy on that thought. I am glad Dickey is not retired, and still giving us his music like he intended it to be! Mitch
