I love to listen to Dickey Betts sing and play guitar.
Nic, I saw the reunion tour in North Charleston, SC, and that night Jack Pearson was sitting in with Warren Haynes. First time I ever heard "All Night Train." Great show but sure did miss seeing Dickey. First time I ever saw ABB when my mind was clear, too.

I hoping all remain Safe from this incoming storm. As much as I long for the beaches of the Atlantic & Gulf, I am happy to be on Lake Erie during times like this. Safe tavels to all seeking safety. 😎 Peach.

Thanks for the reminder about Woody. I remember 1989 so well as we went to Riverfront Coliseum in Cincy to see the ABB. It had been a long 7 year dry spell since the Brothers parted ways. They opened with DWYNA/NMCTB. And then came Statesboro. By then I knew my Prayers had been answered and the ABB was back!!! Thanks to Woody for his part in bringing back the music we Love. 😎 RIP Woody. Peach.

I've always wondered what Duane and/or Barry would have thought of The Woodman's bass playin' or the cat himself.
There is a quote that comes around on occasion on this site of Dickey describing how Woody got the job in the ABB. Beauty.
We'll never know but do celebrate the day and DO NOT MORN.
Woody would certainly tell ya to Rock 'n Roll!

The fog has lifted! Must be the hurricane. Jim, hope your folks are on their way out of harm's way. The house may take a beating, but they won't.
Don't think I'll be seeing Dickey this weekend unless I win the free tickets and something tells me that I will.
This time around, it's much more important because instead of dying to see Betts, I'd love to see this wonderful NY crew - specially Rainy, Mitch & Marie, Barbara and Bob, and Kimberly. We always have a grand ole time (even in the sweltering heat).
Prayers for all those in the path of the hurricane. If they've told you to evacuate, RUN FOREST RUN!

you have to understand where I'm coming from ,my best buddie of all times ,the copperhead,wylie buddy coppersmith ,he,s a long line fisherman out of wanchese,nc yeah buddy has colon cancer,pray for him pl,but ease,we have had the greatest times,the florida pro,cocoa beach 1978,,hawaii,1978,1973,I slept on buddys floor,6x8,14 years old,he would drink a jar of honey and we would paddle out at nags head,sometimes I would paddle for the horizon but I always love to cut towards the south for a left,I love to get buried inside the green room,,pray for my buddie,last time I talk to him,he was tryin toi to catch a bunch of tile fish way out 30 miles,but wit a permit,he said they caught 30 boxes,I guess ,thats a pretty good catch,but buddy is a stubborn trout,y'all thanks for lettin tell it some3where,please pray! dickey has proven that prayer works,please pray my people!
