Lizzie, you already know this, but there's no shame in being an alcoholic. I'm one myself as is my Mom, sister, father(died a hopeless alcoholic when I was 17), and many others in my family. Part of dealing with alcoholism is getting deadly honest with yourself and taking a fierce moral inventory of strengths and weaknesses and coming to terms with the people you hurt. I try to make this a continuous part of my life and I feel genuinely sorry for others who don't.
Trying to abridge the sobriety of an alcoholic is akin to teasing someone about having cancer. How heartless could someone like that be?

Please be assured, whoever, you are that I'm not falling off the wagon because of you or anything else I'm dealing with in life. You, of all person, places and things are NOT that important.

Not sure, but I think my kitty Moonie might be coming to the end of his journey. He is not eating and not smiling today. It might just be a bad day; it may be that God wants to take him home. But, please, pray that my baby will get better but if that is not the Universal plan, that he is comfortable, pain free and knows how much his Mommy loves him.
I send my prayers out to Amy, that the bitterness in her heart is healed. Life is too short for that. Feel peace. It is out there if you reach for it.
