Luke, was so sorry to miss you last weekend and also for the tragedy you and your wife are enduring.
LUKE, please give Gina my condolences. I lost a club bro to suicide over 10 years ago and it was a tough pill to swallow.
Hope the rest of y'all are good. Still buzzin' from the Toler benefit in Macon. What a ball, y'all!
Luke - Sending prayers and love to you, Gina and her friend's family.
I'm so sorry for your loss Gina & Luke. My thoughts and prayers are w/ you both.
I am sorry to hear this news Luke. Please give our Love to Gina also. Peach.

Some folks have ask about where to send a donation to Danny. I picked this address up on the counter at the Big House so I know it is legit. Here it is if anyone is interested in donating to help a Brother in need out. Peach.

Anybody thinking about GABBAfest in light of what a great time we had this weekend and what an awesome venue the Cox is? Let me be the first to wave my hand in the air!
There's no place like home. We logged over 1500 miles. The Family here on this site is alive and well. We are so glad everyone had a Great time and made it home safe. Thanks also to Kev for the gift!!! Going to check it out in a few!! Bluedad is the new official tour guide!!! The Sheep is optional. Peach.
Wayne, ain't nothin' to say but...WOW!!! Chill bumps on my chill bumps.

Stormy Monday with Danny and Barry tearing it up Saturday night!
Glad everyone had a special time this past weekend in our hometown.
Heard the music was fine and there wasn't a dry eye in the house when Willie read Dan's proclamation. He told me that Danny has a lot of trouble talking but it sounds as if he's not having much trouble pickin' so that's a huge blessing from God.
Rainy, I did get a cheap tix for the ABB - had a severe Beacon jones and am meeting someone on Friday outside the theater for my spare ticket upstairs. Would love to have it like it was but my days in the first ten aisles are over.
Jim, interested in hearing what Fredda thought of her first exposure to the brotherhood we share. I hope she felt the connection and is willing to join this Church we all belong to.
So good not to hear of anyone heavily dealing with the sorrow of family or personal illness this day. My other "brotherhood" lost a sweet 28 year old girl to the plague of drug addiction this weekend. Her pain is over; I ask for prayers for her family and close friends who are feeling so low there's no place to go but up with the help of God and true friends.
Spring is in the air and I'm going to be seeing The ABB and Dickey, all within a month. Sad that it won't be on the same night and on the same stage. Won't ever be again...some things just aren't in the cards.
Sending love to all of you and hope you see the glitter each evening as the sun goes down. It's there if you look hard enough.
Wheewwwww...........what a weekend. My lame as$ attempt at putting it down in words is gonna fall waaaay short.
I think Luke and the Dream Lady are right about Macon. The rich musical history of that town is amazing. Otis, Little Richard, The ABB, and Lord knows who else. Just a great vibe in that town.
Sat. was pretty much most of the day at the big house after another great meal at the H & H. You could walk thru the big house a hundred times and still see something that you missed the 99 times before. Just soooo much to take in, but totally awesome.
Back to the room to get cleaned up and do a little partying before the show.
The show? I've said it at least 20 times since. I've seen a lot of great musicians and great shows. The ABB, GD, Pink Floyd, Roger Waters, The Stones etc. etc...........well this show and these musicians were every bit as good as anything I've ever seen. I mean once you hit that level of musicianship..........its like 😮 damn.
The Toler/Tucci set w/ special guest Barry Richman sitting in for a good portion and Jimmy Hall (more on both of those cats in a minute), was nothing short of a spiritual/church like experience to me.
There was some ABB and some old chestnuts thrown in like Stormy Monday and Whippin Post, but there was a whole lot of stuff that I had never heard before. Must have been some Danny T original stuff, but it was all just amazing. Danny was all smiles and his playing was just superb.
To my untrained ear, Danny and his bands kung fu was as equally as good, if not better, than what he has done w/ Dickey in GS or the ABB. Yes, it was that good.
Then throw in this Barry Richman, unknown (to me anyway.......bluedad told me he played in the Almost Brothers w/ RedDog and the other roadies) freakin' guitar God and it was just a guitar clinic. Danny and Richman were channeling stuff that was definitely coming from somewhere else. My jaw is still laying on the floor at the CC theatre.
If you are in Fla for Toler/Tucci or in the Atlanta area where Barry R plays, don't walk.........freakin' run to see what these cats are laying down.
Last but certainly not least..........Jimmy Hall and drippin wet. Jimmy also sat in w/ Danny, Barry and band for one of the funkiest whippin posts I've ever heard.
Anyway, I've read some posts by people of who is the greatest or who is their favorite front man. Once again, brother bluedad said it best......Mick mother*uckin' Jagger wishes he could be like Jimmy Hall.
That place got so funky and nasty their gonna have to hose down the curtains, seats, upholstery, floor and everything else to get the stank outta that joint. Just tight, fat, nasty, funky stuff that band was layin down.
I think I may have blown out a hip after hearing those two bands sat. night.
And the icing on the cake. All the family/brotherhood that made it to Macon. I/we were introduced to so many great folks, I can't even attempt to remember them all. Nic, Pam, bluedad, BigDave, Pinto and wife Debby, Mr. King, and his honeybunny Fredda, PaulR and Heidi, Wayne, Brock, Helen, Nancy, Sonnystang all come to mind, but there were so many more.
Thank you to all of you folks for making it such a special weekend for Terri and I. A weekend I will never forget, thats fo' sure.
 Sorry for gettin so long winded on here.
Man, what a good time in Macon, GA!! It was a pleasure to see Jim, Nic and Pam again, and to meet TennKev and PintoBean for the first time, along with their ladies. So many folks from HTW are my extended family, often referred to as famABBly. The family got larger over the weekend. This was the perfect warm up for WaneeFest. I hope that the spirit of the weekend stays with me from here on out. To see and hear Dan Toler play from his heart, in spite of his condition, was just beautiful. To all the performers who came to honor Dan with the gift of music, Davin McCoy, Caroline Aiken, The Toler-Tucci Band, Barry Richman and Jimmy Hall and Drippin' Wet, the music was superb! The company was even better. THIS is what we've been talking about for years. When you combine excellent music with the love and fellowship of like minded people, everyone emerges a winner. I hope the weekend was memorable for all the first time visitors to Macon, and I hope the event succeeded in its goals of giving love and comfort to Dan. His dignity shines through in his bright blue eyes and ear to ear grin. God bless us all!
Great meeting you Wayne. Thanks for the Bass Pro gift card!!! Peach.
Enough good vibes from the weekend to send me soaring into the week! Glad everyone arrived home safely!
Sure was cool meeting everyone, many for the first time. The music was over the top as was the fellowship! I think the highlights of the night were Stormy Monday with Danny and Barry really ripping it up and Everything That 'Cha Do by Jimmy Hall, man I love that song. But I believe my favorite song of the night was by Caroline Aiken called Welcome Home. That is one incredible song and a very moving performance by her and Jimmy Hall's keyboard player. I think I zoned out during that song.
Really enjoyed spending time with everyone and finally getting to meet Nic and Pam, Walter, Kevin, Jim. And getting to see John, Dave, Brock and many others again, a fun night. Sorry I missed everyone Sunday morning, but I don't believe I ever went to sleep Saturday night after the concert ending around 2:45 and then hanging out in Nic's room afterwards listening to some great stories from everyone, so I just left for home early Sunday morning, I was probably home by the time some of you even woke up! 🙂
Thanks again to everyone for a great weekend of music and fellowship!
