I am proud to announce the release of the Ebook
One Way Out: An Oral History of the Allman Brothers.
http://amzn.to/L1tFSF
It is their story in their words, culled from hundreds of hours of interviews, all conducted by award-winning journalist Alan Paul, starting with pieces for Request and Tower Pulse in ’89 and ’90 and running right through last month’s Guitar World.
“If you want to know the real deal, read Alan Paul.”
-Oteil Burbridge
The book includes many never-before-published interviews with band members Gregg Allman, Dickey Betts, Jaimoe, Butch Trucks, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, Oteil Burbridge, the late Allen Woody, Jack Pearson, Chuck Leavell and Jimmy Herring, plus Eric Clapton, Tom Dowd, Phil Walden, Billy Gibbons, Dr. John, Scott Boyer, Buddy Guy and others.
One Way Out is the most complete exploration of the Allman Brothers music yet written and makes for a great companion read to Gregg’s best-selling memoir My Cross to Bear. It tracks the band’s career arc from their 1969 formation through their historic 40th anniversary star-studded Beacon run, and is filled the musical and cultural insights that only these insiders can provide.
The book includes the most in-depth look at the acrimonious 2000 parting with founding guitarist Dickey Betts; an intense discussion of Dickey Betts and Duane Allman’s revolutionary guitar styles; thorough behind-the-scenes information on the recording of At Fillmore East, Layla, Eat A Peach and other classic albums. You will not find this information anywhere else.
“Alan Paul is one of America’s foremost experts on the Allman Brothers Band. For the past 20 years, he has written informative, comprehensive articles on the band, and he truly understands the essence of their significance. It’s great to see him release this chronicle.”

🙁 Can't find the right words either. I'm so very sorry and so saddened by this news. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family Brother Nic.
Nic we talked about 2:30 this morning...thoughts and prayers are with you and Pam and FAMILY!
Dedicated to Kristy...and Scott, Brayden and Kyndall, Nic, Pam, and all their friends and family who are hurting from Kristy's passing.
Not DB or Brothers related, but a beautiful song that sounds like a prayer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fTJrVVDVfqA
So sorry to hear of Nic, Pam, Scott and baby Kyndall's loss. 😥 I guess there are things in life that I just will never understand.
Sending my thoughts and prayers to them all this morning...this is so very sad... 🙁

I am so sorry Nic and Pam, I am praying for you and your family. We love you.
Oh Nic and Pam, I am so sorry honey...sooooo sad...prayers to you and the family...Love, Kimberly
Friends, Pam just posted this to Facebook a few minutes ago:
It is over. Kristy has passed on to Heaven. We are brokenhearted. This is not what we wanted but, we are accepting this. Didnt want her to suffer anymore. So hard to see our son, and our grandchildren suffering. The little Angel Choir is singing to her now. She always had that beautiful smile. Can`t even imagine how much she is smiling now.
🙁
damn you have another name
(((((Also wanted to send prayers and vibes to Murron and the Sandlin family)))))
Good Morning all :sunny:
Hope everyone is well.. Prayers and well wishes out to Nics family.. hoping Kristie is getting stronger..

 Guess ol' Amy has changed names again. Wow, what a shock.
Then he went country.
Atlanta dickheads, I have plenty of free tix for our show at Wild Bill's for this friday night 05/25.
Van Halen tribute opening, and then us, The Jagged Stones (Rolling Stones tribute)
PM me if you want any.
What a great weekend...son and daughter came for a vist. The Skydogs Band played to a packed house in Gadsden sat nite, great crowd!!....now all we need is a Dickey show!!!
For those old enough, I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in (and to say hi to Jim who was asking for us).
All is quiet for now in lala land; got a new realtor with a great deal of vim and vigor as they used to say. I think, I really think she's gonna get rid of this place so I can move south and sweat my ass off and learn to live with large insects. 😉
Love y'all.
Enjoying the long weekend here in Canada:smoke::haveabeer:
Also enjoying listening to the 2 RockHouse Live DB&GS I got in the mail. My only complaint is the date of the shows is on the cd cover but not on the discs...gotta make sure I dont mix them up:doh:
Enjoy the weekend folks...okay, back to the late night baseball game:burnout:
