Hope all my friends in the USA are enjoying the Memorial Day holiday:wave:
Condolences to Nic and Pam and their extended family... it is always extra tough to lose someone so young and so tragically... only wish I could do more.
Gregg's book/marriage, well no comment except to say I doubt he wrote it, rather someone prolly wrote it for him based on what little he remembers... hell, liz, perkie and I could no doubt remember more than Maximus himself, but since when does a book have to be accurate to sell a million copies ????
kinda interesting gregg has only known this latest fiance for 5 months and that they met on Friday the 13th

I have the utmost respect and love for you two, Pam and Nic. You and your family have been through hell and back and you just keep walking through it like the strong people you are. Condolences on your loss.

Missed Desi on Ellen and I guess I'm gonna miss her with Cirque de Soleil...just not in the budget. Grateful to have had a taste of her last summer with MTB and Dickey. I'm sure I'll be seeing a lot more of her when she's off this tour and my finances pick up.
My plans to move are moving along.....say a few prayers for the good judgment of my co op board 😉
Good ole Sunday morning has slipped into evening so it's to bed with Gregg's book. Enjoying it even if his memory is not what it could be but I understand what it's like to spend 40 years in a semi blackout. Grateful to be aware of my surroundings. Grateful to have all of you and THE MUSIC.
That's what it's all coming to....

I just finished Gregg's book and I enjoyed it despite the negative stuff about Dickey. As far as Gregg getting married for the seventh time to a woman 2 generations younger then him I say " Really Gregg?"
Gregg Allman is getting married for the seventh time.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member has told several interviewers this week that he's engaged to his 24-year-old girlfriend, Shannon Williams, and Allman's publicist and manager confirmed the news Friday morning.
Allman talked about the unexpected love he felt for Williams in an interview with The Associated Press earlier this year for a story about his memoir, "My Cross to Bear," but admitted he was leery about taking the relationship further because of his past difficulties in his love life. But Allman told Howard Stern, Piers Morgan and a SiriusXM town hall audience this week that he's taken the relationship to the next stage.
Little is known about Williams, who entered the 64-year-old rock pioneer's life after a liver transplant and a run of health difficulties. Allman told the AP in a love-struck voice he met her while in Florida on Friday, Jan. 13, and "I am totally in love."
Allman's failed marriages make up a significant part of "My Cross to Bear," a best-seller after its release May 1. He offers a rare glimpse into his private life, detailing the rise and collapse of his relationship with Cher, among other topics. It's clear his failed relationships haunt him. He told the AP he has a distrust of the institution of marriage and has been left with the feeling that few, if any, of his wives were actually deeply in love with him.
No date has been set for the marriage.
Rock on Dickey!!!! That was a good interview.................Dancin' in the Dark? That would be interesting.
A BIG AMEN on what everyone has been putting down in words to Nic, Pam, and family. Continued love and prayers to Nic and family, Murron and the Sandlin family, and all of you good folks on here.
A special prayer and a never ending thank you to all of our armed forces men and women around the world during this Memorial Day weekend.
