Hey Nic, you can write about anything you want my friend! As mayor of the guestbook, you have earned that right. Always good to read your posts, and good luck with the next round of chemo. Keep up the good fight!

I am most guilty about posting on subjects other than music. I am sorry if that is not well received. I do make music post but we are not getting a lot of music around these parts. My travel has been limited of late. I do enjoy coming coming here and chatting with my Brothers and Sisters Of The Road. It is just something I look forward to. 😎 Please just skip over if annoyed. Peach.

jimbeejambee, I'm ALL for talking about music. I/We were just recently talking about the Tedeschi Trucks band on the GB. I was also inquiring about the Chris Robinson Brotherhood recently. I also started a thread on the forum about posting video's that you stumble across or happen to love. So, the point I am trying to make is that music is being talked about and obviously, we all love music. I think you hit on a very important point about Dickey and the band not being discussed much because they haven't done a lot of touring lately. I don't live in NY, so I haven't seen Andy's band. Rainygirl has commented on them before though. I don't live in Fla. and haven't seen the Fla. guys and their solo stuff, so I can't comment on Pedro, Mike etc., but the Capn has made comments. You must have missed those, I guess. I am sorry that you don't particularly care for other topics, such as college football or some of the other things you mentioned. I don't really know what to say about that. People talk about a whole lot of things on the GB. Birthday wishes, healing vibe/get well wishes, concert reviews, football........heck you name it. I don't know if the GB is the place for that, but it doesn't bother me the slightest. Maybe you are right that it is the reason that people have drifted away??? I think that is a damned shame if that is the case. You, they, and anyone can post about whatever the heck they want to post about........unless it is an unnecessary attack on Dickey or unless it is our website, name changining troll who basicly attacks anyone and anything. Just for the record, I liked your post on the forum.

Thanks Tennkev , well , for the welcome to the site . Yeah , I know it's sort of negative , but I'm a longtime lurker here and on the blue site , and have watched this site sort of wither lately . And little by little , a lot of the regular posters have drifted away . Granted , Dickey & crew are not the most active outfit these days , but there is still plenty of musical topics that can be shared . There wasn't much said about the European shows , actually , and a lot of that was posted video on YouTube . Are we more interested in college football than Dickey's body of work , Andy's band , what Pedro is up to , what Duane is working on , etc ... ? That is what drew people here originally , to find out more about the musician , the band , the music . I used to enjoy reading about Pedro sitting in with so-and-so at the WXYZ Lounge , or how Andy's band tore up some stage in L.I. or Jersey . Pertinent info from all the good people out there .

Welcome jimbeejambee.......post a little bit more and help change the atmosphere around here then. I mean for someone who has never posted and never shared anything before, thats a pretty heavy statement. Granted, I don't care for the political BS, and I definitely don't care for our website troll who constantly changes names to stir sh*t, but there is nothing wrong with a wide array of topics being discussed on the GB. Again, welcome but try posting about something if you want to try to change things. I've been wondering about Chet and Gena too. Hoping they are doing ok.

Chet and Gina ? They probably don't come on here much anymore due to all the sniping , name calling , political bull$hit , college football bull$hit , and so on and so on ...... That's why many have abandoned this site , because it's not about music anymore . Look at guestbook posts and forum posts too ; here and on the blue site as well . The sounds , the music , is now very secondary , and that is just a shame . So , good people , open your ears , open your hearts , and shut your mouths . Remember a time when the music would take you away . Just jimbeejambee .

Good Morning :sunny: I see lots of good college football being enjoyed. It is the time of year :). I am enjoying the change of seasons and the much cooler temp's with the beautiful fall colors. I was wondering if anyone has heard from Chet and Gena..they haven't been around much and I am hoping all is well with them.. Kimberly waiting on your review from the Love For Levon show.. I have heard it was great except for the sound in the venue.. I guess it all depends on where your seats were.. Nic hoping your treatments go as planned and I am keeping you in my prayers and well wishes. Sounds like the Jam for Duane went off beautifully.. and Randy was missed deeply. Keeping Forrest in my ~stay safe prayers~ as well.. Hope everyone has a Blue Sky Day.. :waving: to all

I hope I am able to go and maybe get out out also and catch a few Perch while up there. Good Friends and Goodtimes. Speaking of Good Friends thanks to all of you here for the caring and support. It means a lot!!!! Urban Meyer is haning tough with us as he is right back home in Ohio where he belongs. Win or lose, he is our man and we are happy to have him back!!!!! Great job on the Jam For Duane to Brent and all whom made this historic event continue to happen. Maybe we will be able to go next time if my heath permits. 😎 I Love you all. Peach.

This has been an incredible weekend - it ranks up there with the DDT Benefit weekend. First, went to watch the Navy game with a bunch of other Naval Academy parents in one of the nicest homes I've ever seen with some of the nicest people I've ever been around. Add to that Navy won in overtime. Then my Gamecocks played THE BEST game I have ever seen them play, won and are now 6-0 and ranked 3rd in the country. Add to that this morning my wife and I walked about 9 miles and then I went out to Saluda Shoals Park and had an incredible afternoon of music right alongside the Saluda River with some of my favorite SC musicians, Matt Mayes of Jupiter Coyote, Doug Jones of Cravin Melon and three of the Blue Dogs from Charleston, SC. At the end they had a super jam and it was so much fun. Great job by the Buckeyes, Nic! I hope I am wrong about Urban Meyer. It sure looked like I was yesterday! Can't wait for next Saturday night with the Gamecocks playing in Death Valley in Baton Rouge. WOW!!!

Wofford and Navy have won, but in order for this to be a perfect day I need for Georgia Tech's offense to step it up in the 2nd half against PHLEGMson and for my beloved GAMECOCKS to pound Lattimore down the throats of the GA boolweenies on the way to a resounding victory tonight! As a lifelong long suffering Gamecock fan, this is the best it's ever been for me!
