Good morning :sunny:
Well that was a storm/Hurricane for the records . For many years I lived on waterfront property here on L.I. It was beautiful but the draw back was even if a storm looked to be threatening and had the power to do damage , none more devastating is flooding or fire you lived in fear of that. It might only happen once a year or get a break and not have it for a couple of years but when it hits.. wow..
I now live more inland , not by much but have beautiful property just enough if I wanted to have horses.. I do not thou , I had them when I was younger and I am just to old now.
Lots of trees and I guess we lost about 5 of them. Bill was out all day yesterday and I heard the whining of the saw going. I helped him as much as I could. The damage on the house is minor just about 7 ft of the soffit air vent covering. We were very lucky and blessed. I hope those that had much more damage get a speedy recovery and get their lives back to normal. Such a shame that lives get lost during such a storm.. trees falling are very frightening,
Mayors requesting that trick or treat children NOT go in heavily wooded tree lined streets, still falling branches and dangerous.
Good to hear from Kimberly and Mitch.
I know you are looking forward to going home Nic, prayers and well wishes to you.
If Andy Aledort stops by and reads Please post that you and family are ok .
Hope everyone is well , safe..
Lizzie:angel: lets get your report on GABBA.. Please.

Hey, Kev, what's the story where you are? Any damage?
Very glad to read that our Brothers and Sisters in NYC are safe and sound. Prayers and vibes to all the folks that have suffered any kind of loss.
Hey, roof tore off storage buildings, boats that were raised up at the Piermont Marina by the TZ Bridge were lifted up by the surge and cruised right thru the streets - bulldozers picking up boats and placing them back at back of marina - a tree went threw a house where two kids were killed during the storm just a Town away...regular gas and ice is totally out as of now only premium is left a one station with over 100 cars waiting to be served...electric poles are snapped in half over Rte 303 and roadways...huge trees down over the railroad tracks...no amtrak or bus service for days...scary down lines and tree parts everywhere...our power company says ten days before service is on...hopefully...Take care, Kimberly
Consider myself lucky...no damage to my home...no flood in the basement either. Lots of downed leaves and branches but otherwise ok. The power went out last night, and hasn't come back as of yet. Marie and I, being healthcare workers, both went to work yesterday and today. I hope the power is back by the time I get home.
I hope all my northeastern friends have been as lucky. There have been fatalities in NY/LI. 🙁
Thanks for the good thought sent our way by the good folks here!
Mitch
Electricity is out for 90% of Rockland County and O&R said it can take up to 10 days to restore...I spent all morning gathering extra bags of ice...delivered to ones who had no access and then headed into work...be safe out there and check in y'all...Later Alligators, Kimberly
hey Folks, several pm's about the Jam for Duane shirts. YES, we have some in L, XL, and XXl. Not many left as they are going out pretty fast. If ya want to support the event and wear Duane on your body, just order up.
