Dobro, UT has got the best O Line we have seen this season and they gave us all we wanted and more Saturday. I think the sportsmanship exhibited by your team and fans when Lattimore went down created a bond of friendship between our two schools which will endure a long time into the future. It meant a lot to all of us.

Rainy, thank you for posting the great Dowd videos. I remember seeing that a while back but it brings a fresh perspective to the history of how that period of music was made. Be it accidental fortune, fate, or great insight and trust from the players and producer, it came out perfect and created some things that we all have grown to love. Glad you keep the passion as we all do.
Fellas, this has been the whackiest college season in a while!! Gators ate dirt from the Gator bowl and that will be reflected in the poll. Living in Fl for 40 yrs has not detered my dedication to UT, but the Vols were soundly defeated by the Gamecocks. Congrats.
On a serious note, we just came out of three days of sh%$#* weather and it was blowing to beat the band. It will not compare, however, to the surge and disruption that this storm will bring to our Eastern Seaboard and Northeastern brothers and sisters. PLEASE heed the warnings and stay safe. Sayin a prayer for all.

Nic, don't know whether you saw it, but both teams entire benches came onto the field in tribute to Lattimore when he left the field. That is the kind of regard and respect engendered by that fine young man, who is destined to make his mark on this world whether it's on the football field or not. In the century plus we've been playing football we've never had another player who was so special to us. His exemplary character and virtue, informed by his steadfast Christian faith, illuminate every facet of his life. He is at once always optimistic, cheerful, selfless, modest, loyal, and sincere, and all those virtues are capstoned by a tireless work ethic which always assures his absolute best efforts are expended in service to those around him. Yes, it is tragic that something like this should happen to such a great young man, but I can guarantee you that he will overcome whatever obstacles come before him. We are blessed to have Marcus Lattimore in the Gamecock Nation!
Oh, and one more thing, Nic.... he reminds me of YOU!!!

I have found myself back in the hospital. A leg infection is persisting and I need some IV anti-biotics to whip this infection. I am scheduled to begin chemo again next Friday and the leg is not up for the treatment at this point. I hope to be out of here in a few days. I am suppose to get a PET scan Tuesday but that may need to be re-scheduled. I will be alright in the long run because I've made it this far!!!! Peach.
