As much as I like Nick Saban he would be a fool to leave Alabama. He has a chance to become one of if not the best coach of collegian football. He could make you forget all thye great ones in a couple years.Hayes Schembeckler Bryant Paterno and anyone else!

This took place in Charlotte, North Carolina A lawyer purchased a box of 24 of very rare and expensive cigars, then insured them against, among other things, fire. Within a month, having smoked his entire stockpile of these great cigars, the lawyer filed a claim against the insurance company. In his claim, the lawyer stated the cigars were lost 'in a series of small fires. The insurance company refused to pay, citing the obvious reason, that the man had consumed the cigars in the normal fashion. The lawyer sued - and WON! (this gets good...) Delivering the ruling, the judge agreed with the insurance company that the claim was frivolous. The judge stated nevertheless, the lawyer held a policy from the company, in which it had warranted the cigars insurable and guaranteed it would insure them against fire. Without defining what is considered to be unacceptable 'fire', so was obligated to pay the claim. Rather than endure lengthy and costly appeal process, the insurance company accepted the ruling and paid $15,000 to the lawyer for his loss of the cigars that perished in the 'fires'. NOW FOR THE BEST PART... After the lawyer cashed the check, the insurance company had him arrested on 24 counts of ARSON!!! With his own insurance claim and testimony from the previous case being used against him, the lawyer was convicted of intentionally burning his insured property and was sentenced to 24 months in jail and a $24,000 fine. This true story won First Place in last year's Criminal Lawyers Award contest.

I also am thinking of Joe Dan today. I was in Chicago on a work trip when the accident happened and Pam called me to tell me of the passing of Joe Dan. I went to Buddy Guys Legends that night and Studebaker John dedicated his set to Joe Dan. The last time I saw Joe Dan he was stringing Dickey's guitar at Riverbend. RIP Brother. Pam and I still stay in touch some with Judi and she has our sympathy today. Congratulations to Brent and all the Alabama fans!!! There is no doubt who is #1 in the BCS. Back to back is a very big deal!!!! We are headed back to the James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University tomorrow to finalize my radiation treatment plans. OSU is helping us a lot with the expense of lodging while I am staying in Columbus. I am humbled by the generosity of many people and organizations such as the American Cancer Society in assisting us during this time. Many people are making this much less difficult. Praise The Lord!!!! Peach.

Roll Tide! #15. 2 ina row! Alabama owned the Irish, who, IMHO should not have even been there. musberger should be fired for his extreme bias and bigoted remarks towards Alabama and the SEC. His bias was offensive.

"He's a lesson in how to live, y'all!" That's what Duane said about Taj Mahal at the Jan. 1971 Syria Mosque show, after Taj Mahal finished their set -- & doggone if, 40+ years later we have brother Nic's example to follow in that respect -- everyone here is really cool & supportive -- Nic thinks of others first, that's why he's a lesson in how to live -- & love too -- best vibes from on (mountain) high en route tmrw. bro -- good weekend all!!

Good Morning to all, Nic words seem the hardest when you need them the most. Luke and Kevin said it beautifully , you are inspirational and a remarkable man and I feel blessed that you gave me a chance to get to know me and embraced me here on DB home .. I am the lucky one . We stand together in our journey here , we have all made a connection with the music , it's wonderful that we get that and the music has taken us places even a magic carpet ride could not do...your bravery , wisdom, kindness and overall strength is just amazing and it's an example of your shinning inner peace and something I hope to personally achieve , you have put me on the right path and I Thank you for your unselfish kindness. I am here for you when ever you need me.. Keep up the fight.. Blessings to all. Listen to the music that sets you free, no matter what it is, it is the greatest medicine for the heart and soul. Celebrate life and from your own words Nic... it's a good day to be alive , enjoy the Blue Skies and more than that let your soulshine.. you are loved by many.. :dog:  :inlove:
