Thanks to Dickey and the band for putting a great show at Penns Peak. Been waiting for years to see the band and when I found that they would be only a 2 1/2 drive from home I was there. Took my son to see the real deal three guitar southern rock sound. The drummers and bass player were spot on and put on a great show as well. Hope the band returns to the Northeast again, I WILL be there. Thanks again for a memorable evening!!!
Good Evening Brothers and Sisters,
Wow.... Thanks for the review partner! Earlier today I checked out the seats for the April 10th show in North Carolina. Looks like it may be a full house...Yeeeeehaaaaa! Safe travels all. See you in Carolina. KLBazur
"Dickey? Dickey Betts is as bad as bad can be." Duane Allman radio interview, 1971
man, what a night! penns peak a beautiful juke joint on the top of a mountain! The quality of sound and show of musicianship was as strong as it gets! From 7:30 until almost midnight that place was on fire! The new song was really well done and sounded like something that should be on the radio everyday, man I would love a recording of last nights show! One of many highlights for me was change my way of living, it sounded better than I've ever heard it! It's one the greatest blues! I ca'nt say how it all went down but I would drive 8 hours again tomorrow if I could ! You know the band has taken us to many very cool places in this world and I thank y'all for that! Thanks for giving! Ca'nt wait till next time!

I do remember we forgot to call Bananaman in the bar when we returned to gather by the bus before the gig began. I called the bar and some Russian speaking chick answered. I convinced her to ask the bar patrons if any of them was Bananaman and Alan answered the phone. That is how I first met him. 😎 Peach

Sure could use a 'Bama show!
Good Morning I am alive...he-he-he! Doobs was right on the review, I don't know the name of the 1st song - I went to my seat at the ending but I was intrigued so I will be on time tonite at Ridgefield! Good times all around - everybody having a blast and love the vibe...Turning Stone was a beautiful venue/hotel...had a great time seeing Moongrass girl and her band of young handsome men that followed her around all night...we had a little party in my room before the show (a little vodka and cranberry (Jim you would dig that) and brie and baguette, parmesan chix nuggets and pistachios!
The band was on fire and Duane's solos there are no words - he takes you to heaven's door - if it is possible for a guitar to transcend you he did it and more...then again Mike Kach was WOW on the keys...Frankie and James - they both bring here individual styles and talent and feel like I have never been so entranced and entertained and James can take me to that James Bonham tick tick tick he does with those sticks like he has a soul of a lost art...Pedro well well well what a fine man and he laid it down and the fever they feed off each other building with a crescendo that when the band comes together it is like making love...and that where Dickey the Man come in and no one in the world sounds like Dickey his tone his style his holy shit way he plays...I ask for nothing more....
Tonite will be special as Frankie and Mike's families (Mike, you know I love you) will be in the house and I always love hanging with a beautiful girl Frankie's sister Maria - great woman and friend...
Tonite Ridgefield will be on fire and I for one am grateful to be in the house...
Nic, tonite you are getting a concert call hopefully you will be free...we all love you very much!
Love to everybody here and if you are in the area come on out and see and hear a living legend, our friend Dickey Betts and his band of Great Southern men and by the way everybody is hot in the band....lol!
To the crew thank you for the love and the hard work behind the scenes...the family vibe is going on and I feel like I am at home...Love, Kimberly
Thanks for the review, clip etc.. Sure is good seeing Dickey and the boyz back out on the road. Lotsa love to everyone.
