I shall post my thoughts. I just have to pray that a typhoon doesn't come on the 28th and ground my plane 🙁 . The Osaka Billboard is bigger than the Tokyo one, I think it seats around 500 people and there are only a few seats left in the service area for each show. The Tokyo shows look to be selling well too. Here is an English link to the Tokyo Billboard http://www.billboard-live.com/club/t_index_e.html I will be up in the service area for both Friday shows, so if anyone is going please look for me. I will be wearing either a Grinderswitch or an Eat a Peach 1973 summer tour t-shirt.

I haven't posted here for many years but I have always been DB fan! I live in Japan and I will be flying up to Tokyo on the 28th to go to the 2 shows that night. (each set is classed as a separate show here so you have to pay twice). DB&GS are also playing an additional show on 30th that was announced later. Sadly for me it was announced after I had booked my airfares and I couldn't change my tickets. A few years ago I was up in Tokyo and my mate arranged for his mate's Allman Brothers cover band to play for me. They were great and it was a great night. I think the ABB were pretty big here back in the day and most CD shops have there albums.

The ABB played in Japan in the early 1990s, mayb the same connection then as now... But yes, Felix Pappalardi, one of my favorite all time musicians -- he did a couple of solo albums with Japanese musicians... what about the album Go too, w/Steve Winwood & Michael Shrieve playing w/a Japanese rock musician (forgotten his name) I have Kitaro's Oasis album too -- Kitaro is a Japanese new-ager

This short Japanese tour is kind of interesting. I've seen a few Youtube videos of some Japanese bands playing the ABB tunes, and they are really quite fascinating in how good they are. Wonder what brought Dickey to Japan? Vacation and/or demand?

Got a deal (steal) on an 1890 Steamer Trunk and after mending the top, it is perfect for two rows of vinyl, maybe 70 a row or so, perfect. So classic Allmans and Dickey are now showcased to the front of row one. I think this is proper and respectful way to store Duane and Dickey. so check yer local ad sales.... 300-600 value for 75......
