Good morning all, I am humbled and amazed by last nights music. Just now listening to IMOER. My girlfriend has 5 new boyfriends. Saw them just coming off the bus, they were super friendly and receptive. Sat in row 1 seat 1, couldn't get any better than that. Repaid my sister for taking me to my 1st ABB show in '73. We held hands during blue skies, and had a serious family moment. Got picks, drumstick and new shirts!! Dickey is still the master. It just plain smoked!! more later. The girlfriend has a shout out to Tom (the T-shirt guy), Duane and Mike Kach!
Good Evening Folks! Packing for the trip up to Syracuse...can't wait to see y'all and listen to the magic music of Dickey and Great Southern!
See y'all on the road! Love, Kimberly
It was late one afternoon in the early ‘70s when Hudson saw them.
“It was Dickey Betts and Berry Oakley,” she recalled, founding members of The Allman Brothers Band.
The encounter was long before the group’s success as pioneers of Southern rock.
“I looked out the window and said ‘here comes some of those long hair white folks,’” Hudson recalled.
The two men walked in, but they didn’t say anything for several minutes.
“They just stood there, ... and I finally said ‘can I help you?’” she said.
They said they didn’t have any money and asked her for food. They told her they were in a band and were about to hit the road and promised to pay her back when they returned.
Hudson gave them two plates of food.
Four other band members walked in, and they all shared food off the two plates. Seeing that they didn’t have enough, Hudson said she fixed more food and made sure they all had plenty.
Dickey really burned it on Ramblin Man....great to see, he sounded great. Man i'd love to see him come out here, or even close by
Someone shot Ramblin' Man from ATL:

Have a good show tonight for those attending.
Well since you guys mentioned college football....
GO BUCKS!!!!!
Rick,
you are right about Tuscaloosa... my wife & I drove through there two week ago... the campus is beautiful... right outside... not so much.
Stephen, none of those places are close to the Blue Ridge. Raleigh/Durham is pickle country. Charlotte's fun to visit, but largely a slime pit. The Blue Ridge Skies are all in SOUTH Carolina... or as proven last night, Carolina.
Ditto Dan -- that whole album is Peak ELP IMO
:clapping: :hippie: a normally wonderful holiday weekend is Tripled under the Blue Ridge Mtn. skies of Durham, Raleigh & Charlotte (& hot 'lanta Mon.! 😎 ) -- peace & safe travels
That Ole Miss-Vanderbilt game was unbelievably fun to watch...unless you were a Vandy fan.
Of course out here the UNLV college football team is a joke, which is too bad. At least we can look forward to the basketball team.
ELP...what a great way to start the day. Thanks Voader
I don't mind
if the sun don't shine,
long as I'm
spending my time,
with you
Since we are talking football, college type, I have to say War Eagle...
Bama is going to do an awesome job this year of course. But I swear the city of Tuscaloosa is an ass-wipe town. I hate going thru there. About as run down and depressing as Memphis. You would think with all them championships and $$$ they would invest in the city that surrounds the stadium.
#6.......
Glad to see College Football back...and the NFL only one week away!:clapping::haveabeer:
Them thar Gamecocks iz gettin' ready to kick some UNC TarHole butt in just a little while.
Outlaws are always good. Wet Willie is too. That Jimmy Hall has stainless steel vocal chords.
Ancient Kodak digital camera. Chastain is usually cool about such things.
Yes, great job Brock!! Did you use a smart phone?
Thanks Pinto, but that's all I shot. Somewhat disappointed that the GS set was just 80 min or so. Should have shaved some time from the Outlaws, who were surprisingly good (better than the '07 Thomasson version I saw).
Also, at shows end, Pedro threw his bass up to the drummer behind him. Never saw anything like that!
Brock, was hoping you could post the OWO. Very nice job on the other videos, though, particularly the sound.
