Congrats to all who have a spouse who loves them unconditionally. As the song by POCO goes..."Its a good feeling to know, somebody loves you".

Thank ya! I'm very proud of it and consider it quite an accomplishment....for my wife.

Congrats to the other long-married couples.

Hell I thought was doing good with tomorrow coming in at 28 years. I have some catching up with some of you at least we are in good company. Congrats to the both of you 38 & 39 years nowadays you don't hear that to often
Hey, good to see you, Mitch! My wife and I are right behind you - we'll be logging in 36 years together in November! And I think you're right about the reason - she and I have always made it a point to support each other in our separate interests and pursuits.
If you haven't heard Neil's band, the Blues Doctors, check 'em out! Some different blues grooves for sure!

Good luck with that! Although, my wife was always very tolerant of my guitar buying and if I said I wanted something, she never made an issue of it. (probably one of the many reasons we are married almost 39 years!).
After all these years, I think I have no further desire to buy anything else...I have all the guitars one amatuer player could ask for. I don't know...I must be getting old!
Mitch
Neil, are you not the king of your castle? Just tell her you are going to spend the money and then go hide somewhere until she settles down!
Seriously, though, if it means so much to you I am certain she would want you to have it.
What you described is what I think I'm hearing when my friend, Mike, plugs his customized Strat into his Mesa Boogie amp. I think you might have sent me a picture of your Paul and I know it is a vintage model and a thing of real beauty. It's only serving justice to provide it the amp which lets her sing most beautifully.
Somebody help me before I buy more gear!! Last nite I played my old Paul through a reissue 1965 Fender Deluxe Reverb - pure Mike Bloomfield tone (Think "I got a mind to give up living") - that old (beautiful) guitar just came to life.
Now if I can just figure out how to spend around $1,000 on new gear and not have the wife realize it...
Macon travel plans confirmed, see y'all there. :bike:
