Thanks for your support, tcat! It's a pretty simple plan. It's not a diet plan because I eat what I want whenever I want. I changed what I want.

I posted the following back in May and I repost it in hopes that some of you might find this as beneficial as I have. And as an update, I've lost 33 pounds and all issues I was having which caused me to start this in the first place are GONE! I feel great, I'm not hungry all the time, have more energy and alertness than I've had in years, and my mood is much better all around - I feel happier in general. I have thought long and hard about posting the following, but I've decided if it can help anyone it might be worth the scorn of the skeptics. A little over two months ago, I stumbled across some information and began to do my own research but the very night I watched these videos I was convinced that I had to make some changes in my life right then and there. The next morning my wife sort of thought I had gone nuts but she decided to check into it and she also became convinced and she's on the path with me. Since that time, I have developed a voracious appetite for information on the right way to optimize my nutrition and feed my body and what I'm finding out is just stunning. Before we go any further, I do not have any product fo sell or anything whatsoever to gain from anyone who reads this. It's information I have discovered and many of you might already know it. But having made the changes I've made so far have resulted in my energy level being sparked, the clarity and focus of my mind is markedly improved, and I've lost about 20 lbs, and I'm eating more delicious food than I've ever had in my whole life. So, this is a series of shows produced by the University of California called The Skinny On Obesity. The main speaker is Dr Robert Lustig, Pediatric Endocrinologist at U of C in San Fran, and he's got a real talent for explaining some very complex science in very simple terms. It's a series of about 8 or 9 ten to fifteen minute videos and they might save your life, protect you from alzheimer's, heart disease, cancer, or a stroke. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h0zD1gj0pXk&feature=share&list=PL39F782316B425249 Two other fantastic resources I have discovered are mercola.com where you can take a free nutritional typing test and get a nutrition plan according to your type for free, plus they have a dailey newsletter which I read every single morning that is always immensely informative. And the NYT, Amazon, EVERYWHERE best seller "Grain Brain" by David Perlmutter, MD, a neurologist. Of course I'd be happy to share any information or whatever experience I have gained so far on my brief journey, and I am thoroughly convinced that for the first time in my adult life I am getting proper nutrition, getting healthier, and feeling so much better than I have since my early 40's. I'm eating grass fed meat, wild fish, raw veggies, and plenty of good fats - raw nuts, avocados, pumpkin, sunflower, and flack seeds. This stuff's more expensive food so I don't eat as much but I don't have any more food cravings and I don't buy processed food, snacks, or drinks so the cost seems to be offset. Hope this will be helpful to some of the great people here.

"The new Southern Rock Tribute 1959 Les Paul entirely captures the look, feel, and tone of the guitar that has been at the center of Southern Rock since its origination in the late 1960s." First off - let me say that I'm sure this is a fine guitar. But, I'm also sure that this guitar doesn't sound, play, or feel any different than any other reissue 1959 Les Paul. Secondly, I also doubt that the 1959 Les Paul was "at the center of Southern Rock" in the 1960's. There were only about 1600 of these guitars made, and, from the pics I've seen, no one in the Allmans, MTB, CDB, or Skynyrd was playing a '59. True, they were playing Les Pauls, but not '59's. In fact, the only player I'm aware of who was playing a '59 at that time was Mike Bloomfield. So - if you want one of these Les Pauls, go for it. Enjoy and cherish it, but don't fall for the hype.

:waving: to all 🙂 Wishing DB a speedy , successful and swift recovery.. It's been a while since I've posted and I have missed all of you.. I was disappointed by the cancellation for this Fri.. show on L.I. .. but Dickeys health is way more important and I can always play my Blue Sky enough for all of us... 🙂 Yes, Kimberly I had planned on being there.. I will see if I can make the NYC Concert Hall... but the L.I. shows are always easier for me.. I can only wish that all the fans of DBGS get a show when he is well enough.. fingers crossed for all.. Play it loud... and dance around I know I will. Andy Aledort has some shows on L.I. if any one can make those ..check his web site 🙂 Viking Sat night  :dog:

The new Southern Rock Tribute 1959 Les Paul entirely captures the look, feel, and tone of the guitar that has been at the center of Southern Rock since its origination in the late 1960s, while proceeds from the sales of this extremely Limited Edition will go to benefit members of the music community…
