Hey there everyone!
What an absolute gem from Dickey and the gang from this past Saturday out in California!
The Cat-in-the-Hat can still bring it after all these years! Brings a tear to my eye just hearing that wonderful tone! Nobody in the business can touch him in that regard in my opinion! So glad he is back using that old Les Paul! There is just something about those guitars in the masters hand that make them just sing!
Much love to Dickey and GS and thank you for continuing to hit the road and bring the magic!
😎
And speaking of Galadrielle, if you ever want to see what her Dad looked like up there on stage, go see Royal Southern Brotherhood and check out Devon Allman - replete with identical colored hair and mutton chops! When I first saw the video, I thought I had selected an ABB video by mistake! It's an uncanny resemblance.
On a happier note

Happy Birthday Galadrielle Allman

RIP Farmer.
There's plenty of room for the rest of us, Tyler.
R.I.P. Brian Farmer... Looks like the road crew upstairs is gettin' kinda full... 🙁
RE: Brian Farmer
DAMN!!! 🙁
RIP
Mike, you are going to be blown away by RSB - PROMISE! I can not wait for your review!
You got it right, Neil! He and Devon Allman hold down most of the singing along with Mike Zito. Hope you watched that Fire On The Mountain video I posted - that says it all about these folks!
Re: RSB
Is Cyril Neville from the famed NOLA Neville family? If so, there's no wonder the vocals are superb.
Also, today is the anniversary of Alan Woody's death...So sad, all of us in the tribal family bands will damn miss him. One of the nicest guys, he was like an uncle to all of us...Peachfest this year will have more of a significant memory of our last good times together! Poor Warren! Love to everybody here, Kimberly
Sad to say Brian Farmer, Warren's right hand man passed away at home Sunday...prayers to all his family and our friends...just heard from one of our dear friends here, prayers to Brian and all who love him...So sad....
Thanks for the tour info...Go SF Giants...
Pinto...I will go checkout RSB...thanks for the heads up

Brethren Of The Coast opened, sounding pretty good, Pedro sang a real nice version of "Simple Twist Of Fate" later in the set they covered "Long As I Can See The Light" sung by the keyboard player whose name I didn't hear. Their originals sounded good, would recommend them & would like to see 'em again
The Cat in the Hat was superb! ably supported by Great Southern it was a night of fluid fretwork by one of the best of all time (IMHO)I don't wanna gush, suffice to say , a thoroughly enjoyable night of great music!
EAT A PEACH FOR PEACE!

Dobro, the RSB tour is in Europe for the time being. I don't see any future US tourdates posted. I bought both their cd's and love 'em! They've got southern rock, straight ahead rock and roll, blues, but what kills me is to my ears they are the only band with all that but really entrenched in good ol' soul and r&b...beach music! It seems like their music is manufactured exactly to suit my taste. They've got two of the best guitarists anywhere and two of the best singers - Cyril Neville and Devon Allman, who I think could show his old man a thing or two about singing. He plays lead guitar as well as his uncle (and is a dead ringer for him) and has a stronger voice with ten times the range of his father. Mike Zito is also a good but not great singer but takes a backseat to no guitarist I have heard. I've always liked DA's music but am shocked how great this band is - it just caught me off guard.
Reports from out west indicate people felt the earth move... nuff said ?
Frankie is concerned about aftershocks ( since the lights and speakers are overhead )
