Wally I didn't say "flooded". I said "some". I even forwarded you one so you know it to be true.
I wish there were more women around here flooding the place, but between JK and now you I'm certain they don't feel comfortable. 🙁
LOLOL OH YEAH! I know your inbox is FLOODED with pm's from women, Baby Blob Whine!
I meant John.
My names not Mike!
Capn might know more than anyone around here about this but I have thought for a while that DB & GS should not be thought of as a growth industry, meaning they will just do brief intermittent tours and be more or less a nostalgia act. But with the reviews they are getting in the northeast and now the west coast, might that be changing? Might Dickey's popularity finally be surging as nationwide people are finally discover that Dickey was the only one who could deliver the REAL Allman Brothers Band groove? It seems almost like a perfect time (storm?) for Dickey with great nationwide reviews, the wheels predictably falling off the Allman Mule Truck, and now a new cd???? Bring it on, Dickey Betts! Kick some butt, Cat in the Hat!
Yes Mike, really. Wally's behavior is disgusting and many here are tired of it. I have gotten some PM's from other women this week expressing this same concern.
I hope the admins show up soon and clean it up. I don't know about you, but I think women are great and should be respected and feel welcome here.

Really Mary PF?
BTW does your wife know you are saying things like "LOVE YA HONEY" to females on the internet (that you've never even met before)?
Show some respect to your wife AHOLE.
Notice how rainy does not reciprocate with similar terms of endearment or affection. It would be great if the women around here could feel COMFORTABLE posting here not in fear of being sexually harassed by you Wally.
Seriously, don't make me go get Adam Spero. I will.
pintobean with your disgusting comments toward Sue earlier this week, I think we'd all appreciate it if you'd stop with the HONEY and other degrading comments towards women.
You have been warned.
AWWWW so nice to see you, Miss Rainy! Love ya, HONEY! Those are all great videos and I had never heard the last two! Really enjoyed that movie, too! Wierd.
Mike, ol' buddy, thanks so much for the RSB review! I'm so glad you had a great time last night. I'll admit it's hard to imagine RSB without ZITO but the guy they got to go to Europe with them is unquestionably a world class talent. Their sound is going to be markedly different without Zito's slide but with all the talent in that group they will meld something just as magnificent and help us forget all about Allman Mule Truck as they finally go gasping and wheezing away into the past. File them in the bad memory bin.
Good to read the reviews of DBGS.. sounds like it was fun out there in Ca.
on another note.. anyone see this movie.. I saw it last Jan. and now its been on cable.. I enjoyed the story and the characters are all great to watch.. here take a look ..
"Hey Devon, nice to meet you. I go around the internet saying your dad's band sucks and might as well ended 15 years ago.
Hey by the way, can I have your autograph?"
NICE
RSB is sh1t. Can't listen for more than about 2 minutes. I question y'allz taste in music more than ever.
Also I'd like to note how lame it was for you to lie to Devon telling him how much of a fan of his dad you are. I'm sure you'd never have the balls to say how you really feel. Anything to meet a "celebrity" for some people. Did you get his autograph too ya star f*cker?
Back home...had a little scotch...and met a great bunch of music lovers...a little out of my neighborhood... Uptown New Awlins.
What a venue...music crowd. The Wild Magnolias opens... Great band with the MARDI GRAS Indians in full garb...I knew I was home.
It was Zito night ... Great performance and he will be missed.
Went out to the smoking area before RSB entered stage... Johnny Sassoon was out there... He would guest on the harp... Unbelievable .
Devon came out and I introduced myself and said I was a big fan of Dickey Betts and his dad... He could not have been more gracious ...him and the wife/girlfriend.
After they left to head to the stage, someone who overheard me said... I don't know if I would haven mentioned Dickey... Strange fellow. Must have been very misinformed... Asked me if I knew the ABB had only 4 more shows left... Told him they ended in the year 2000.
It was all great...I am not familiar with there songs so I won't attempt a set list... It was all good.
Devon looked a little less like his uncle with the full beard... Not just the chops.
With it being Zito's night... Kind of... Mr allman did a little more of the Dickey kind of stuff... Just meaning he handled the rhythm to perfection... Just like the cat in the hat did for his uncle. He had his lead moments and it was evident that he has the genes...and his songwriting was noticed... A little bit more of a showman than I expected.. He was on his stuff.
Cyril Neville was incredible on the vocals and percussion... Only like a Neville brother could do.
It was just a magical night here in the Big Easy...
I think Anders Osbourne would be a great replacement for Mike... That was a consensus from the homegrown audience... But we are not impartial.
Overall an act not to be missed
The encore was Devon doing lead vocals on One Way Out ... If was kind of saying that the music would live on
Lord it might be your old man... Oh baby............................ I just don't know.
The road truly goes on forever.
Good night... Can someone go to work for me in the morning?
EAPFP
GO, Mike!!! You'll never regret it!!!
They're billing it as Zito's last gig...
Debating on going...show starts at 10 on a Wednesday night...
On a work night and I am an old man...
May take a short nap and head over there...if I do I will post a review...where's my Geratol
