Good job sir, for taking in Lizzie's kitty. That kind of Karma will come back to you. I suspect there was a grand ol time on the Rainbow Bridge. RIP Lizzie and Moon. (Why are they sending Steve Superior back to Gainsville?? I thought you were keeping him!)

I don't want to intrude on privacy! I know what a brother means to a person! My condolences Mr Betts!!! I was just thinking how lucky I am that one of my musical heroes is taking a break but my search for musical bliss wasn't too far down the road!!! About twenty miles across the Albemarle sound from my stomping grounds on July 3rd,I went to the lost colony theatre in manteo nc and caught the dawes band with duane betts! talking about the musical rekindling of my fire!!! I never heard Dickeys actual licks played on this beautiful night but I knew when I heard the sound of that soft wailing guitar I knew where it came from! The sound that the band put on that night was out of sight!!! I'm a thankful traveling music lover!!! When I got there I walked to the sound shore and looked down the beach and there was a huge strong young eagle perched on a cypress tree! I had a good feeling it was going to be a great night!!!

anyone have any info on whether Dickey has expressed any interest in getting back out there and performing again? I know we all miss hearing that guitar and voice.....but does Dickey miss it?

Down home in Florida ya gotta believe Dickey often has his guitar in hand and is a pickin'. Shoot I'd love to just hear a home made recording...

Duane Betts Joins the Night Train Music Club On Wednesday evening, Dawes guitarist Duane Betts sat in with the Night Train Music Club, a revolving cast of all-star touring and session musicians assembled by singer/guitarist Steve Postell for weekly performances at the Buffalo Club in Santa Monica, California. Betts joined in for two songs during the ensemble’s second set and took extended solos on Bill Withers’ “Ain’t No Sunshine,” and Bo Diddley’s blues standard “Before You Accuse Me.” The evening’s lineup included bassist Alphonso Johnson (Santana, Jazz is Dead), guitarist Danny Kortchmar (Don Henley) and drummer Steve DiStanislao (David Gilmour). Long list of musicians contribute many of whom you will recognize: http://www.nighttrainmusicclub.com/
