Glad to see a post from our Red Dog! :dog: 🙂 (((Michael & Cindy))) The waiting is the hardest part. My love to you. My favorite tweet from the DalaiLama's website: "Compassion and love constitute non-violence in action." Says a lot doesn't it?

Good morning to all. I have to say, I am sorry for not posting and keeping you up to date a little better than I have. To be honest the chemo knocked me on my butt. I have never been that sick in my life. I do not know how people go through that more than once. I am not sure I could ever walk through the door of the chemo place again much less take the treatment. Right now it looks like I will not have to take anymore chemo. The V A sent me a letter and said for me to be in Augusta to see the E N T Dr. there on Sept. 15th, I went and got a different way to treat the cancer. basically the same except they say the can operate and not have to remove my vocal cords. which is right up my ally. Go on and get this stuff out of my body and get it over with. I think I will still have to take radiation, but thank the good spirit I will not have to do chemo. I hope. I am hoping this operation works and it is next week. The sooner the better. I have to say they way they treated me in Augusta was the best I have ever been treated by the V A. Now about this benefit. Thank you, one and all. I had a ball and was so thankful for all the love that was in that room on that night. If you we there you know what I am saying. The place was on fire with love. The spirit was strong and music was great. Can't thank Tommy, Randale, brother Chuck, for taking care of business, along with Trash, Buddy Thornton and Devon. Devon can sing. I was impressed with this vocals. My little buddy, 16 year old guitar wizard, DUSTIN McCOOK, only got to play on one song but He got the message across that he is the next young gun. The kid blows me away. Sings his butt off also. Thanks for all yawls best wishes. Made my eyes water up more than once. Sonny nice visit yesterday. It was fun. I am wondering about Gabba and the the Hittin the Note gang. The Note, being the best asset, the GABBA folks could have. Plus they don't make any better than Brother Joe Bell. Of course Joe ant nothing without sweet Vickie at his side. Funning Joe. Yes the Note is and will be missed this year. I think brother JOe just dropped off about forty book and the book store next to Bibb music. If you do not have a book then hit the book store. get it on the spot.

Mitch - glad to see you're OK. Anyone hear from Rainy? Hoping nothing happened to her or her property. Still wanting news of Red Dog. (((Cindy & Michael))) The hurry up and wait routine is so stressful. Hoping the surgery somehow happens on Monday instead of Tuesday.

Lizzie, My little part of LI was spared any serious damage. Lots of wind, rain , thunder and lightening, but no trees down. I consider myself lucky. Sending good thoughts to Cindy and Michael....hold tight. As it is often the case in the medical world, they are asking you to "Hurry up and wait". I'm sure things go well when the bypass is done. It is a common procedure now, and most hospitals have become very proficient in doing it. They call that a "Cabbage" procedure because it is a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, aka CABG. Mitch

Whew. Tornado just blew through...too close for comfort. Front yard is covered with my two trees. Luckily, they didn't hit the house or anybody's car. A block away looks like a war zone. Whew.

So, This is the real Hellrasor from an airstrip Johnny gew up. Ronnie was up in the North, maybe NYC and Col.AhighA. Thanks everyone for the prayers. Things are still not looking good. They could not do the stints because the blockage is too big and they cannot do the by pass surgery until next week because of the blood thinner they had to give him for the unsuccessful procedure for the stints and it is too bad to let him go home so he has to wait maybe even until Tuesday for the bypass surgery because going home is too dangerous. He has to stay in the hospital and is not allowed to leave the room. He is going nuts. Your prayers are relaly appreciated. Thank you so much.
