Good Morning Brothers and Sisters,
Greetings from New York, the city so great they named it twice.... Looking forward to DBGS on Saturday night in a venue right across the street from Central Park. It doesn't get much better than that folks, Saturday night, NYC, DBGS and Central Park whoooooweeee!
Kind of hoping they'll mix it up a bit. Don't get me wrong I'd be happy if Dickey just strummed his guitar and told stories for 2 hours.... and what stories he could tell! That being said, how about a little more jamming, like perhaps taking "Les Bres in A minor" somewhere that its never been, or could we ever be so lucky to hear Dickey, Duane, Pedro and Andy (and the rest for sure) do a rendition of "My Favorite Things" I must be dreaming a little too much today. Sending sweet thoughts to Red Dog via NYC. Ya know, in Cosmic terms it was just seconds ago that RD was setting up the Marshall speakers for shows at The Fillmore East.

LOL, Jim, I forgot the phone directions. Rainy, the 70 miles to me are a breeze compared to the last 25 to the city. Just a thought.

So bummed I missed Dickey in Sarasota this weekend....heard it was spectacular! But I must say I was impressed with Chuck Leavell. I had only seen him once "solo" at The Red Dog benefit, and it was ok but would rather have heard Tommy Talton and Randall Bramblett that night....
Randall just seems to get better everytime I see him. I think he is one of the most underrated musicians, songwriters, performers etc in the industry, he and his band are something else. But when he and Chuck's band combined and played it was pretty unbelievable. A lot of Rolling Stones stuff, some old Country...(Hank williams, Merle Haggard) in the middle and ended with 4 ABB in a row, rockin one right into the other...last song being one of my All time favorites "Southbound!!" Man Dickey can write em cant he?
Hate so badly I ended up not going to Sarasota...but ended up being a great night in Macon. If yall get a chance to see Randall's new band go, you wont regret it.

thinking of Chet and Gena.. needing a show badly..but with a new baby on the way, makes it diffcult... Having a baby is a great reason to miss a DBGS.. the only reason ..LOL
Looked at the forecast for Sat,.,. it said snow ... * sigh* Thanks for the offer Lizzie :angel: but , this makes me chuckle.. you are about what 70 miles from me... and then maybe another 25 into city... so driving to your house and then hopping on train.. well.. we would be completely stressed... especially if I am elected to drive.. I maybe should leave tomorrow LOL... so , I am thinking if it is bad we will take train from Babylon... keep fingers crossed , and one eye open.... as my Dear Joseph would say.,.. Gee, I miss him not posting here and sending me messages, so much 🙁
