(((Nic))) - sending you love and good vibes for all your tests and appointments. Nic - also wondering if you saw American Pickers last night. They had to find picks to furnish a room for William Shatner and his wife's country home in Kentucky. Really great show. Red Dog - love you everyday :dog:

Just "found" Pam on FB. What a sweet surprise. Wondering if there is any update on our Auggie. I think of him everyday and he is in my morning prayers, as are ALL of my dear friends here. Stay warm if you're up north here; and, if you lie in Florida, I'm jealous. How long will it be before I can move south again. Dreaming of Spanish moss and large bugs. Have a great day all.

Hey Kitty. Do you ever watch American Pickers on the History Channel? They are also from Iowa. Hey Brother Tyler. We are beginning to thaw but all is ice here still. Our vehicles are sliding across the drive and parking area from a parked postion. You never know where they may be in the morning. Sarah found one this morning at 4:30 that had slid about 20 feet. We are almost hostage here until the ice melts some. I have Dr. appointments the next 2 daze so I will have to venture down the drive toward the bridge!!! 50 degress and rain is forecast for Wednesday and Thursday. Peach.

For a change I have a Monday morning report that is all good - had a phenomenal weekend in the mountains. No, I don't ski - not after my first attempt where I slammed into a tree getting off the lift, had to get knocked off to stop because I was going too fast and then slipping into reverse (yes, backwards) into a snow fence. Is it apres ski yet? We had a luxurious room with a fireplace, a deck and a temper pedic bed (oh God, thank you), an outdoor heated pool (nothing like swimming in the snow), a massage and facial and great food. Kinda missed the champagne but that would have ruined my weekend beyond belief! Back to work. Kimberly, geez, what a terrible accident. Please let me know how you are doing and know that I'm praying for you to recover quickly. And, the timing couldn't have been worse. Very concerned about Red Dog and sending him love as I do to all of my dear friends here. I am very blessed and very grateful. Sending special love to my girl, Rainy. Have a great day. Spring is coming.

Allman Brothers Band Berry Oakley Fender Bass Amplifier For sale on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160535407753&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en The amp is being offered for sale to help pay medical expenses of a former ABB crewmember. 1971 Fender 400 PS Allman Brothers Amplifier used by Berry Oakley (Raymond Berry Oakley III), Original bassist for the Allman Brothers Band. Mr. Oakley used the amp from 1971 until his passing in November 1972. After Mr. Oakley's passing, Lamar Williams was the bassist that joined the Allman Brothers, and for a time he also used the amp. The amp was purchased from Lipham Music Co., Gainesville, Florida and was sold to the Allman Brothers Band by Mr. T.H "Buster" Lipham, who remains the owner of the store today. You will see album jacket credits for "Buster" Lipham / Lipham Music Co. on many of the ABB albums starting with their earliest releases. Also included is the original roadcase with the "Fragile Allman Bros" stencil markings which can be seen on the roadcases of the Live at the Fillmore East album front and back covers. The roadcase is cosmetically in rough condition, the original foam is gone inside, the stencil markings are quite legible on the back side. The front side stencil markings are worn but still legible. The amp has been thoroughly checked out by Fender and is in great working order. The cosmetic condition of the amp is exceptional for it's age. Mr. Lipham commented on the great condition when he examined it. Mr. Lipham can be seen in the photos with the amp at his Gainesville, FL store and also in the Allman Brothers Museum at "The Big House" in Macon, GA. where it has been on loan for the past year which serves to further authenticate it. It does have some replaced non-original parts. The capacitors have been changed as they had dried out over the years so when the Fender tech went through it he replaced the caps. 3 of the 6 power tube sockets were replaced at some point in the past with high quality Mil-spec USA sockets, and one resistor replaced. Lastly the plastic main fuse holder was replaced as the original was cracked. All the original parts replaced (except the tube sockets) are included and pictured in the attached photos. The six 6550 power tubes were also replaced with a new matched set of Fender 6550's during the tune up. A booklet containing all documentation, and several additional photos will be included with the amp and roadcase. The Amp was appraised at a value of $25,000 for insurance purposes while on loan at "The Big House". Please allow ample time for the load photos to load, the stage shots are low in resolution quality due to the photos being 40 years old. As an option for the buyer/collector, the Allman Brothers Band Museum at "The Big House" Foundation in Macon would be very much like to have the amp back on display if the new owner so chooses to put it on loan or donate it to the Foundation. I can assist with all of the Foundation coordination and provide hand delivered transportation (free of charge at the Buy it Now price), or if a reasonable offer is finalized and accepted, at a minimal fee (expenses only) to Macon, GA. The amp is being offered at a Buy It Now price of $17,500, or you can use the Best Offer option at the top of the auction page. All reasonable offers wil be considered.
