In Flanders fields the poppies grow,
Between the crosses row on row,
That mark our place and in the sky,
The Larks still bravely singing fly,
Scarce heard amid the guns,
John McCrae
How was Tab Benoit at the Smokehouse? Did anyone attend this past weekend?
Allmaned - nice choice of music there and a heckuva buy for $1.00. Lonny Brooks is one of those amazing "unknown" guitar players who can just knock your socks off.
Your find for $1.00 is a lot like the way I found my first ZZ Hill CD - cut-out bin for cheap.
World War 1 ended 96 yrs ago today. When I was younger knew many Doughboys. Know there all gone.Over there Over there.

Listening to the blues Eddy the Chief Clearwater West side strutt.Lonnie Brooks plays on a couple of tracks.
I got this CD never opened for a dollar in the huge discount bin. That's a dollar well spent.Time for a fatty.
I've never had a problem with Drugs. I've had a problem with Police.
or we'll give you a time out and make you stand on the line during recess
Now hemlock behave yourself...
Hey Luke - great to hear from you and you're bang on target as usual.
Tab Benoit is a favorite here in New Awlins...
Good Idea Tunes...Ignore the Hater !
Not that obscure really, all of those tracks are on the Duane Allman Anthology album.

Hey Tunes - no big deal. The important thing is you recognize Tab for the monster player that he is.
Thanks for the update. At least I got the Fender part right
Nice that there are some Tab Benoit fans here - he's a great player and writer.
Not to split hairs or knock anyone but unless Tab has changed his instrument of choice - and he's had the same ones for years - he plays a Telecaster Thinline, not a strat.
But I'll surely agree that he can lay it down with the best of them Check out his version of "Nothing takes the place of you" live at the NOLA rock 'n Bowl with Sonny Landreth as a guest. He really knocks that old Toussaint McCall tune out of the park.
