It never ceases to amaze me the amount of Kindness and Giving that is shared amoung the folks on this site. Folks here reach out to a Brother or Sister in their time of need. We all share in the not so goodtimes as well as the Goodtimes.
With that said I plan to get a package together tomorrow for FrankieBootleg as he stands watch over us all and serves our Great Nation. I fondly remember the days "prior to" fourspeedfax
don't know that others experiences will help, but my wife and I went through a similar stretch with our oldest daughter from when she was 20 for a couple of years.
What set it off, was a boyfriend into a bunch of stuff that was well beyond what my wife and I would tolerate. Our daughter sided with the boyfriend, dropped out of college and moved out of the place we'd rented for her and in with the boyfriend in a bad part of town.
Our daughter viewed us differently during that stretch, didn't communicate at all for better than a whole year, and only through being there when she did reach out, and us maintaining an air of positive support, did things work their way out. The boyfriends problems finally caught up with her (he ended up stealing money from her to satisfy his needs...), and that changed the situation.
She's been 100% of everything we'd always seen in her, and want from a relationship with her, ever since. Now 25, we have a great relationship, from my perspective, where we have respect for her in turning her life around and looking forward to goals and her happiness ahead, and she sees the unflinching support and love that we've maintained throughout.
