I had to leave for TN early this morning when I got the word a cousin of mine was killed in the tornado destruction yesterday. Certain by now most of you know death toll will be over 200 in AL as people are still missing. The level of destruction is beyond description. Imagine a path of total destruction miles wide and 158 miles long. That was the path of one tornado yesterday, and there were 7 of those on the ground at one time yesterday afternoon. I did hear from Brent he is recovering and OK. I think Bup is OK. Obama is coming down tomorrow to see the destruction first hand. Interesting for those who dont live in the South that these tornadoes were completely predicted, as we have a superior early detection and siren warning infrastructure. If this infrastructure were not in place, the death toll would have been much higher.

Prayers for all those who made it through last night's horrible weather and prayers for those that didn't. Sitting in that airplane, I had no idea what I was flying past. I only knew I was saying goodbye for now to some of the best people on earth. A finer group of friends nowhere can be found. Rainy, was thinking of you a lot. I brought you a present - red clay - it glitters. Wish you could have come, please be with me. I guess that's it, time to let Red Dog's spirit move on. Fly on my sweet angel.

Hey Steve. I am glad to hear your wife is Safe. The following was posted on the ABB site concerning Brent. Spoke to Brent, he was on his way to his 2nd job at the library. He's hung up at a gas station, can't get out due to gridlock. No damage at his house, but debris from around the state in his yard. We have a situation here re gas stations. Power is out in much of the state, sometimes whole counties. And people are having to travel long distances to get gas. It's creating gridlock at some stations.
