Rainy, saw Dylan a few years ago here in Columbia and he played keys the whole time - didn't touch a guitar. But it was a great show and when you see Bob Dylan - THE ONE AND ONLY - Bob Dylan do "Like a Rolling Stone" it sends shivers and tingles all over you and you feel everything inside you you ever felt all at the same time. STUPENDOUS!

Peach, Nic! Maybe I wasn't clear but the vids I posted are two of the finest examples of a couple of guys who are smoking their guitars to the melting point and having a great time doing it - John Mayer and Kieth Urban. I don't know if I've ever seen a better example of two guys playing together better than these two.

Hey Rainy. We were talking about going to see Leon/Bob locally a couple of weeks ago and then Leon cancelled due to a scheduling conflict. Leon is the one we planned to go see. We then cancelled. I am glad you had a Goodtime!! Peach.

Good Old Sunday Morning everyone :sunny: TennKev your so funny.. It was a topic about Dickey and Devon.. Devon and Honeytribe are opening for DB at one of the shows . I think that it is great . So , Bill and I went to see Bob Dylan last night he opened with Leon Russell.. we were just a little late getting there..Leon already was just about finshed.. He sounded great and looked great.. We had 6 th row and it was a beautiful summer night at the Beach ( Jones Beach ) Bod Dylan was just fantastic... he changes most of his songs by tempo and feeling so sometimes it took me a minute or two to realize which song they were doing... He opened with Leopard skin pill box hat... Loved Loved it.. I jumped right up with a hoot and a scream and right into dancing for most of the night... Bod's voice is strong and solid... it's been many years since I've seen Dylan, I am so happy we made the decision to go.. I thought the music sounded perfect .. I am in a state of still being thrilled... hope it lasts all day... 🙂 If you get the chance to see this Legend ..DO IT... OH his band was great.. I forget the name .. I will find and post 🙂 Hope everyone is doing well... Prayers out to all who need them.. Lizzie thanks for the pm and I will call ..alittle later today.. I have an appt for my hair around 2:30... I'll call then.. Thinking of Joseph :dog:  :inlove: Counting down the days to the DBGS show @ Winery... :guitar: :guitarist: :guitar: Have a Blue Sky Day :sunny: Oh ,it is raining here on L.I.

Tedeshi/Trucks video got me too, Pinto. I was dancing in my chair. With Derek on Goldie (which he made sing not unlike Duane - I was VERY impressed) and Oteil on Berry's Tractor, Susan's vocal, the horn section dancing, they GOT me. Yup, I'm giving in. I AM a fan. Now, the Mule is another story. They have yet to 'get' me but one never knows. An open mind is a good thing. I'd gotten way too set in my ways.

Seeing Kev and Lizzie's posts prompted me to take a rare trip to the blue site where I was prompted to a great youtube vid of Tedeschi Trucks. I've already raved about their cd, but I have to say that Derek Trucks has ascended to the level of Duane Allman himself. I think it must be the groove of this band and how much he loves playing with Susan, but he is so into this music and it's brought out the fire in him that I have never seen. At this time the number of people he would call "peer" could be counted on one hand. One of them is on this video and the other one ain't too far behind. But there ain't too many duos who are more in sinq than these two. Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5V-63jWiUzY

I think I found it - Dickey's comments? Whether or not this is what you were speaking of, this thread is pretty cool.

Rick, I mentioned I wanted a bone necklace a few months back; a few weeks later a girlfriend who didn't know this, presented me with one. Anyone who carries Native American jewelry...I have a lot -- some I'm thinking of parting with for financial reasons. Silver's at an all time high but I would never sell anything to melt down - these are one of a kind works of art. I've looked up a few dealers in NYC and plan to go to them so somebody else can enjoy some of the stuff I don't wear.

Good morning everyone. Hope you had a great time, Kimberly. I fully expect that you did. Although I couldn't make this one, keep me in mind for future "fun". Summer means all things wonderful to eat and I too have been eating blueberries to the excess. The last remaining farm stand around here closed (they built condos!) so I'm going to have to figure out a way to get at that local sweet corn and tomatoes. It's been hot, but it's a beautiful summer. Have a great day everybody. Love and healing to all who need it (and send your love my way, too).
