No chemo - that's great, Nic! Your story correlates to that of one of my dearest friends who has leukemia. He found the right doctor who told him that chemo wasn't necessary. His father, who is also a doctor, warned him that if he started the chemo he would never feel the same again.
To my friend this is a quality of life issue. Regardless, that's terrific news, Nic. Happy for ya!

Thanks Jen for the news on Frankie. You are a good man Cap'n for your efforts!!!I received a very personal card from Frankie yesterday which I appreciate very much. Frankie is a Hero in my book.
We had a long day at the James as we just got home. I think I finally have the cancer Dr I have been searching for. This cat specializes in my type of situation. There are mostly unknowns and no documented evidence chemo would help at this point. Hell they are not even sure I still have the cancer. He did say the tumor I had removed was about baseball size. I had been getting all my cat scans and it went undetected prior to the surgery. It is a very illusive cancer. He also had lots of questions about the symptoms and how I felt prior to the surgery. I did sign on allowing documented research on any future blood or tissue samples taken from me. If I can help prevent one person from going through this the research will be a success by my standards.
PET scans are the order of the day for me. I am getting one next week during a two day visit back to the James. The insurance company will just have to suck it up and pay!!! I will most likely have one every three months for a while. I am glad I found this Dr. The chemo is on hold for now!!
