Ah, horses. I've ridden my whole life - even a suburban New Yorker used to clean stalls for lessons as a kid. With my back the way it is, I can't ride right now (and it's so expensive) but I'm looking forward to visiting with my niece in Venice, FL who raises Paso Finos (a new breed that moves vertically, not horizontally thereby not banging my vertebrae together).
There is nothing in the world like flying up a hill on a great big horse; except maybe listening to Dickey with the Allman Brothers Band. Same damn feeling.

There is nothing like riding horse , especially when all four feet are off the ground at the same time, a split second and you are flying.. 🙂
Still reflecting on our trip to California and Florida.. missing Stella alot and the family..
If our schedule was more forgiving , wished we could be on that cruise.. anytime I hear DBGS whether it is 1/2 hr or longer I am a happier person in my soul and heart... so who ever has made plans to go this cruise, get ready... Dickey Betts, Pedro, Andy, Duane , Mike , Frankie and James will rock that boat.... life preservers PLEASE...
Thinking of Dan his family and friends who are all around him in great support.. sending prayers of love and get well wishes... whether DBGS goes or not.. I think he will.. He is loved by many and has the reputation of a good man...

They released the Live Performance Schedule for the Rock Legends Cruise.. There are a total of 58 Live Shows..
Dickey only plays two of the four days...
Thursday Dec 1st at 1130pm for 1 1/2 hours in the Theatre. ..... After George Thorogood.
also the Outlaws playing on the deck and Blackfoot in Studio B same time he plays.
He doesn't play Fri or Sat...
He plays Sun at 1030 on the Deck for 1 1/2 hours..
Not much if you are going to see DBGS.

Hi Rajo! I just received your red letter addressed to FrankieB! I am putting together a box of presents for Frankie and will place your letter on top and will mail out today for Afghanistan! Perfect timing! I know Jen (his wife) said do not mail later than 11/1 as he will be back into the U.S. around 12/28th...
I have to hunt for shoes suitable to wear on the "ranch" for day and night dancing...will leave the high heels for late nite activities...also I need some boat/fishing shoes...this trip is turning into an environmental adventure! Just hope I don't run into any alligators late at nite!!

I recall years ago Waylon Jennings gave a one-man show with just him on a barstool talking to the audience with pictures shown on a screen in the background. He talked about how he wrote songs, the folks he worked with... he played his songs and you could drop a pin, the audience was in such love with the man; A musical journey, a performer's life revealed to a kindred group of fans....
I would pay a lot of $$ to see that same show with just The Man In The Hat.
