I have come here to testify. I have listened to all lot of tapes of live shows in my life. I have most likely logged well over 300 ABB/Dickey/Gregg shows during my lifetime and traded way more shows than that. The DDT Benefit gig from a couple of weeks ago is some of the finest recordings I have ever heard in my life. 😎 My compliiments to the musicians and Paulr for the recordings. If you don't take Paul up on his B&P offer with a donation to Danny you are a damn fool!!!!! Thank you Paulr for your act of Kindness in sharing the Love in the Event Of A Lifetime!! Peach.

Hmmmm... "Happy" (anything)....to a person named "Hemlock" does not equate. Lizzie, let us not forget; It is written God condemns his children as well. While its not for me to judge, God gave us enough sense to understand evil, and to rebuke it. Nevertheless, I admire the humility in your post. I think it was wasted effort to an insincere idiot, but then again, time will tell. Due to house renovation, travel, and so forth, I took my family to Ruth's Chris for Thanksgiving lunch. They all had a good time and I was very thankful for many things; Hemlock did NOT make the top 20 :).

Jimi led the way. Since then most just copied what Jimi had already did. Besides you had to have seen him live...the videos do not do him justice.

Hey Peachmaniac John, I forgot you moved west to New Mexico! They are sending me way down south in January to Albuquerque! I lived there in 73-76 when I was 17-19. I'm thinking it has changed since then. 🙂

I don't get the whole Jimi Hendrix thing. If I was making the list he would be lucky to break the top 50!

TO TERRRY: Hi sister. The picture was posted on 11/15 so you'll have to go back a bunch of pages. You don't need to register to just read the posts. I didn't want to hand the flag over to the honor guard but I knew it was coming to your family through them. And Red Dog deserved that honor more than anyone I ever met. There have been many brave soldiers, but few were as loyal to his country and the band he loved, the friends who cherished him - everyone loved him as if he was their very own brother and he loved us back. He was kind and generous. Back in the early days of The ABB, he let a whole slew of us in for free because we were in love with the music, we were very young and wanted to get as close as we could; the music moved us like no other. He was THE major conduit between the fans and the band. I wanted to hold onto this precious flag like I wanted to hold onto Joseph; alas, none of us could do that. He is greatly missed, especially on this website where he posted frequently. And he reminded us to always keep one eye open; you never know what's coming up behind you. Thank you for today. Much love, Lizzie :dog:  our dear brother, Joseph.

Got a little personal Thanksgiving story for you: every holiday, I call my brother and sister to send them best wishes. Talking to my brother in Florida was great, but it's apparent he's getting a tad senile. I called my sister who is the only full blooded relative I had (my brother is a half brother). She shares a lot of the bad genes that came through my mother's DNA. She picks up the phone and says "I HATE when you do this. You call EVERY holiday to make me feel guilty that I don't invite you". Then I got a PM from myself (elagrua) and sent back wishes of a Happy Thanksgiving. You can't pick your relatives but you can pick your friends. I am grateful for the dear ones I have made here. I even wish (I know I'll get s h i t for this, but I really don't care) that Hemlock has a good Thanksgiving. God loves all his children, good and bad and sometimes some of us are all to willing to show the bad side. But there's always another tomorrow, another sunrise, when you have a chance to become a better person - one day at a time. Today, I am grateful for y'all and for the music, in whatever form it comes. I am grateful for my sister who is obviously suffering from something that disturbs her serenity a great deal. I hope that all who have a disturbance in the force today, is able to sit down and eat a good meal (even if you're doing it alone). Peach Pie (with vanilla ice cream), Dream Lady

Happy Thanksgiving to all you wonderful Dickheads out there; including our beloved Hemlock. I got a PM this morning from elagrua asking what's up. So I told her I was good and what it was like to be a woman once in awhile and wished her a Happy Thanksgiving. I am not about to fight with anyone or anything today. I'm too grateful for this life that even the memories of elagrua were good for me because I learned how to have DREAMS.

Hey John, that list is 89% rubbish! It has no Lowell George on it, so therefore has no credibility! They did get Albert King and Freddie King up where they should be, the only correctness on it. best laugh: although he is a fine and pretty picker, and a songcrafter of renown, ummm, Paul Simon??? And that Sonic Youth guy, hhahaha I saw him booed on stage (opened for Neil Young years ago) and he made feedback noise I could have is all. Lists by nature are a bad idea. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL Pinto, I am an analog freak, I like big, fat, deep, warm, three dimensional, rounded waveform, no plus and minus bits, antiquey analog. Fly to Montana, I will set up an A/B comparison of same recordings with you blindfolded and you will amazingly pick !ANALOG! hahaha

Anybody see the new Rolling Stones 100 greatest guitarist list? Duane is still in the top 10 but that is the only thing I agreed with! Warren Haynes not on the list, whats up with that? The most bothersome thing is Prince is on the list and Toy Caldwell is not? Who makes these lists? Anyways Happy Thaksgiving to all my friends here! Thanks Rainy for asking about our hike, standing on top of a 12,400' peak is a religious experience much like sitting in the front row to see Dickey!
