Good times for sure! I love that pic! Thank you JimK! Well if it wasn't for Dickey I would have never had the pleasure of my most treasured friendships here, forever friendships that were forged over the years of hearing the magic music of Dickey Betts. I love you all with all my heart and consider you my extended family and there is not a day that goes by that I don't smile and remember the good times we have shared! Those are the memories I will carry with me every day and relive in my dreams! Last nite with John Popper and Johnny of NRPS and friends, mandolin player was outstanding! For dinner we had broccoli/sausage stuffed ravioli, fried calamari, stuff clams, salad, for dinner pan seared diver scallops in a grand marnier/butter sauce, w/ chocolate mouse cake from the French Bakery, Gateau Suisse, who also made Dickey's birthday cake from back in Dec 2009 at The Concert Hall. We danced the nite away and sipped Grand Marnier by the light of the fireplace, restaurant was the 76 House, the place where Major John Andre was held in this former jail before he was hung. The spirits were still around, place decorated like the revolutionary period down to the curtains and wood work throughout. Noticed dowl pin furniture as during the Revolutionary times, King George was taxing the nails sent to the US...and the band played in the same spot where the jail actually was... Back to work and I must stop smiling and buckle down! Love, Kimberly P.S. Leah, are there any t-shirts with "Never Enough Warren"? We must get some and wear to the ABB shows coming up! A new project!

:waving: Thanks for the call last night Brother Nic. Definitely picked up my spirits. Always does when I talk to you Bro. Hoping the good healing continues for you Bro. Been trying to shake some kinda Milwaukee sinus/sore throat bug for about a week now. Don't wanna have to do the antibiotic thing, but if it don't get better in a day or two, I reckon I'm gonna have to go to the Doc. Thats what I get for trying to keep up w/ those Wisconsin, beer drinkin', party animals, Brothers Tyler and Tony.

Me too, Luke. And a couple of other of yous guys too! Sorry I missed Kimberly's birthday; what is this, 22 right? Loved your story and I am serious when I say that getting it down to 500 words what a feat in itself. I remember when a certain someone said he was going to write a book and I told him I aleady had the forward - I had written it and about 10,000 words maybe 25 years earlier when it was fresher in my mind. I took me weeks to cut it down to just a couple of pages. You did a great job! Hope your birthday was special and so looking forward to us all being together again in April. Rain Lady, can't wait to see you again. It's been much too long. Glad this show isn't in August. Had a great night with Kay and Pam and Jim. Getting my tax refund next week and am thinking about March 10...... Sending prayers and love to Dave Stoltz whose lady Pam is having a hard time. Have a great day everybody. It's cold outside but the hyacinths are coming up! And, I hear the cherry blossoms may be blooming eary in Macon. Spring is on the way.

RIP Gary Carter, a great baseball player and apparently by all written accounts a great guy. Played for the Mets team that somehow beat the Red Sox in the World Series. Great pictures being posted, thanks. Countin' down to Mr. Betts...

Jim, would you please post for us what Webster defined as an ass fungus? If I recall the picture you have shows a very mature and advanced case, complete with short mold spores otherwise referred to as a haircut. I also recall dissection of a post-mortem ass fungus very similar to the one infecting this Site. Same family, asexual like this one, and when I made my initial incision, that ass fungus made road kill smell like Samsara compared to this one. Thanks Jim for posting ass fungus...

Ass Fungus, I need no reminders. I simply love the fact I am an earwig into the very small, and mostly compost brain of yours, wipeoid. If it were not for me, people would assume no one cared about you. But I actually have hope your ass fungus will clear up, and then your only issue will be that of a dunce...of which Im afraid medical science cannot up the score for ya, broh. Stem calls run at the presense of stupidity ).

On the lighter side of things...enjoy This will solve many of your problems big and small. 1. IF YOU'RE CHOKING ON AN ICE CUBE, SIMPLY POUR A CUP OF BOILING WATER DOWN YOUR THROAT. PRESTO! THE BLOCKAGE WILL INSTANTLY REMOVE ITSELF. 2. AVOID CUTTING YOURSELF WHEN SLICING VEGETABLES BY GETTING SOMEONE ELSE TO HOLD THE VEGETABLES WHILE YOU CHOP. 3. AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USING THE SINK. 4. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE A TIMER. 5. A MOUSE TRAP PLACED ON TOP OF YOUR ALARM CL OCK WILL PREVENT YOU FROM ROLLING OVER AND GOING BACK TO SLEEP AFTER YOU HIT THE SNOOZE BUTTON. 6. IF YOU HAVE A BAD COUGH, TAKE A LARGE DOSE OF LAXATIVES. THEN YOU'LL BE AFRAID TO COUGH. 7. YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE. 8. REMEMBER - EVERYONE SEEMS NORMAL UNTIL YOU GET TO KNOW THEM. 9. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. DAILY THOUGHT: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES - NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

Back in NY today with an intimate crowd tonite and good times! Don't y'all get your panties in a bunch...Dickey's grammy was mailed to the house when he could not make the dinner...such drama...moving forward he was is and always will be Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers...and that's all I have to say about that... Have fun and love one another, Kimberly P.S. Thanks to my buddies here for voting for my story...it sure was fun putting the pics and story together one afternoon laughing as I wrote and it had to be under 500 words...What would your story be 500 words or less on your musical journey in life?? Have fun!

Does anyone even know IF Dickey got an award? I could hear Chuck Leavell at the end of the internet feed of the awards ask the man on the stage for Dickey's grammy and the man said, it sounded to me, said "they've all been given out". And I checked last night and according to what I was told by a source in an Email, they had TEN awards made up for the Allman Brothers which was an unusually large number for the people at the grammys. SEVEN went to the current band members, one to Oakley's children, one to Duane's daughter & one to Chuck Leavell. That is 10. I hope I'm mistaken and if someone knows for sure I am, please chime in here. It's beginning to look as if Dickey did get one or one will have to be made for him. With all due respect to Warren, Otiel & Derek Trucks (whom Butch recently said can plays circles around Duane Allman) Dickey Betts would be more deserving of a LIFE TIME ACHIEVEMENT RECORDING AWARD than any of the newer members of the ABB.

I want to thank the person for my PM this morning, and, while not deserving to mention in the same breath it appears Prine should just change his name to ass fungus. Ass fungus, if you only knew how phallic phobic you are in your writings...wipeoid.

Congratulations Dickey! I realize your accomplishments are not about getting trophies but never the less, I/we are all so very proud of you. While I missed seeing you receive what is rightfully yours, it is not my place to question and I certainly respect your decision. Hope we see you and the band back in WNY sometime soon - Mayor D
