WOW, Nic! That is AWESOME!!! Tedeschi - Trucks best show in town!! or anywhere else for that matter. Can that woman sing the blues OR WHAT???? Warren sounded great, too. And there's nothing needs saying about that side solo, either. Just an incredible performance!!!

Some more excellent seats (4) have come available for the DDT benefit in Macon on 3/10. This is a table with 4 seats right in front of the stage. Sweat might fly off a jammin musician and hit you, that's how good they are. Those seats are about $42 apiece with the carrying charges. I don't have the tickets but a good friend of ours can get them. PM me and I'll help you get 'em squared away.

Tony your post said alot about Joseph and if you think you didn't know him, well you actually did.. Thanks for sharing. Not to take away anything from his Allman Brothers years and his close friendships with Duane , Joe Dan, Mike , Twiggs, and Willie ..I am sure there are many more I missed and am forgetting here..but his days with the Marine Corp was his glory days and it lived in his heart.. He was totally patriotic and an American and he had very strong beliefs and stood tall for them and for the truth.. He did not like injustice , anywhere . I know he was regretful of having Joe Dan leave this world and onto the next journey without saying things he wanted to say him... He loved him very much. So yeah , today is a day of reflection and honoring his memory.. I hope his son Clark has come to an easy place in his heart with the passing of Red Dog. I wonder how Goldie and Meme are doing ?? I also keep Judi in my thoughts as well, a kinder woman would be very hard to find.. One eye open Joseph.. :dog:  :inlove:

I hope I'm not too late to mention a prayer request for Jim King's beloved 85 year old father, who is undergoing some tests for rather serious medical challenges today. My heart goes out to Jim because his father is so dear to him. I pray for the peace of Christ to envelope the entire family and remind them of the blessings of this life and the eternity beyond - a better place where Love reigns and there is no sorrow, pain, or despair. Amen to that.

I didn't know RedDog but it seemed to me that being a US Marine was the core of him and his proudest achievement. No telling the things he did and saw on active duty, and I bet he probably never wanted to talk about it too much.

Red Dog was a true stand up guy. He was no falsehood, no mock bravado, he was real bravado. He exemplified what a true warrior is. He didn't brag, threaten, or act superior due to all his skills many do not have. he spoke with heart and love, but one always knew he would fight for what he loved to the end. When I look for a warrior role model, he is the man (OK and Joe Frazier too), but he is in that league, a league of few. People that use 'Marine" as an elevating boost to their image and pride should look at him. He never did. the great thing is is he is the ever present baramoter to which the poseurs fall in the ditch in front of, rather quickly. God Bless The Dog, his spirit looks down. Live as he would, with dignity, love and pride, not hate and malice in your heart, I tell myself that.
