rayg...your post made me think of my friend, Bill Ector. We always had some great discussions about the 'Cat in the Hat' as he referred to Dickey. Glad it was a great show...wish he would come to Bama!
Always great to hear Dickey & the boys are smokin' hot. :mohawk:
Stopping in to check on everything since I went to Wanee...had a great time.
Walter - sounds like MTB is really kickin' it. 🙂
JK - I will keep you, your Dad & family in my thoughts and prayers.
Good afternoon Brothers and Sisters,
Just blew into Manhattan. Sorry I have not posted, I got back to Indiana on March 14th and was "offline." I hope all is well and if not it'll get better if you just listen to some Dickey Betts! Of course I will be at the show Saturday...YeeeeHaaa!
Is there going to be a meet B/4 the show? I'm hoping DBGS mix it up a bit but I know I'll leave with a big 'ol smile no matter what. Can't wait to see Andy tear it up! Always a pleasure to see Dickey and Duane up there. We are so lucky... Take care all. See you Saturday. KLBazur
"Dickey?....Dickey Betts is as bad as bad can be" Duane Allman, radio interview 1971
Great night last night for Dickey and the band. Lots of energy, great playing and alot of smiles all around the theatre. Felt like the middle a run rather than the 1st show this year for the band. You could tell the way Dickey excitedly walked onstage at the beginning of the show that there was something special in store for the evening.
Hey Nic...there is nothing quite like a Grandchild! Can't explain it, but that's the way it is!
Enjoy your Granddaughter.
Mitch
so where are the reviews from last night?????
Keeping your dad in my prayers, Jim; and you. Keep strong; he needs you now. Focus on who the important people right now - you and your dad. No one and nothing else matters.
Keep your faith strong. When all else fails, God will never let you down.
Best wishes to your Father and Family JK. I will continue to Pray for you all. I hope all going to NYC have way to much fun!!!! I have been babysitting my new Granddaughter some lately. She is a Gift from God!!!! I am Blessed!!! Peach.
Left a phone message for Rainy a couple of days ago. Will dial as soon as I log off here; hoping to spend some time with my brothers and sisters before we are blessed with the tone that comes out of that ole red guitar.
Now it's on to May 12, with Randall Bramblett! Capn, you've probably seen Randal 40 times. I saw him on the Gregg Allman tour back in '74 or so, and then I saw him with Cowboy about 3 times. This guy is one of those people who breathes music. This is going to be a fabulous show if the weather holds up because the venue is one of the neatest, most intimate little amphitheaters in the good ol' USA and right on the Congaree Riverfront. Anyone within driving distance or near the earth in deep space on the Starship Enterprise, beam on down! There are tons of great eateries nearby in Columbia's Vista so we can break some bread together before and/or after the show.
I saw MTB a few daze back, about the 9th time in the past 3 years and YES, they once again are SMOKING... not like the original band of course, but as close as they have come in the 32 years since we lost Tommy
😎
Let me know what's going on. I would love to join the NY gang this weekend.
Mitch
Rainy, sent you my new phone # on PM. Please call when you get it so we can make arrangements for Saturday.
Been feeling a little low down in the dumps lately and could use a nice night out with my fellow Dickheads.
Love y'all.

Underestimate today's MTB at your own peril! Those guys are a smokin' hot outfit! I'm very glad I saw them and hope it wasn't for the last time.

Hey Pinto. Thanks for posting the MTB info. Chris Hicks is a Friend of mine and I am glad to hear he is gigging with MTB. Pam and I were at the Best Western on Riverside in Macon a year ago February and Chris was doing a solo gig in the lounge that night. I don't know who was more surprised when we walked in, Chris or myself!!! haha. Small world Brother. Goodtimes. 😎 Peach.
Happy Birthday David Stoltz! I love you and wish you good thoughts of all the good times! Wishing you peace and don't forget to make your birthday wish! Love, Kimberly
