mark02...You should have a blast ! Balconies are fun...plenty great live music at various venues.
PM me or post if you have any questions...I will try to help you out.
I, for one, will question that call for a long time.
Supposedly the play was called to stop the clock in the event of an incompletion. They still had a TO and easily could have gotten to the LOS without allowing 30 secs or so tick off the clock. They have a 240 LB running back and a half a yard to go. Spread the formation out, to get at least some defensive personnel out of the box and run the damned thing! If you don't get there, call a TO and do it again.
Also, read/option would have been a decent call - the Pats had trouble with it most of the night.
If they were going to pass why not play-action to Lynch and roll Wilson out to let him either throw or run? Throwing the slant to the middle of the field was a high risk play.
I was also surprised Belicheck let the clock tick down that far without stopping it. I guess he simply felt let's take as much time off the clock as he could and let the chips fall where they may cause the announcers were discussing the possibility of the Patriots letting the Seahawks score.
Ya gotta love a game that generates so much interest and conversation
You are welcome TennKev, I like Cadillac Tracks from that same concert too.
As far as the Super Bowl, I'll question that call on first down, without a doubt they should have run it!
Good Super Bowl to watch! Exciting finish! Lots of folk questioning that call. If it would have been a complete it would be called brilliant. I can't see a front of the endzone on 2nd, but what do I know!
Today we will hear from many armchair quarterbacks who will criticize -- in hindsight -- a play call they didn't understand to begin with. So please, don't make fun of Ned -- he's not alone in his ignorance.
Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll
Not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
Halftime show an abomination.

bayoubluesrat - I'm heading down to Mardis Gras my brother. Looking forward to it - will be my first trip for that. Been to Jazz/heritage once.
We have a balcony rented out and I'm warming up to toss some beads.
I had remembered Steve Morse joining the Allman Brothers on stage at Walnut Creek back in the early 90's and was hoping to find a video or something, didn't happen. I did find this tidbit from the Dregs:

Had that electric flag album a long time coming.
Rather I had the 8 track. Mike Bloomfield one of the greats.Hard drugs killed many of our heros.Glad we have there music.
Joel McRae my favorite cowboy riding into the sunset.!
Dobro - thanks for the information. It seems like a new amp like a Peavy Classic 30 might be less expensive in the long run than a external Fender reverb.
Speaking of tone from a Twin - I've always loved Toy's playing and tonal selections. But, check out The Electric Flag's versions of "Texas" and "Killin' Floor" to hear some great Les Paul/Twin tones. While you're at it, for the most beautiful Les Paul tone I've ever heard, check out the Electric Flag's "Easy Rider." ER is a very short instrumental at the end of the album. To me, it always reminded me of the end of a '50's cowboy movie where the hero rides off into the sunset - but in this case, the cowboy is played by Robert Johnson - sorry, just my imagination.
Thanks again for the hint.
nacm, I've been thinkin about your reverb dilemma. I used to see the external Fender reverb units in pawn shops and used gear stores. Now, they are priced through the roof! You might get lucky and find a "been in the closet" treasure. Watch the vid that midniterider posted below, and I'm pretty sure you'll see one of these beauties sittin on the drum riser around 4:20. I've scoured the dvd of this particular show and Toy has the reverb unit and some sort of weird little box that he fools with. That man coaxed the finest sounds out of a twin ever. Ever!
Listening to some Toy this afternoon..

Last night I started working on mixing the live CD. Wow! There's so much work to be done! Not to mention the fact that it'll never be perfect (very little is). Seeing as no one is harder on me about my guitar playing than I am, I guess I'm just doomed to be relatively unsatisfied with the outcome.
That said, I think it'll still be pretty good.
 to all you cats.
